Edey is pretty universally noted as the most polarizing prospect in this draft. But aside from him, who are the guys that you just don't really understand the argument for (or against), about whom other people seem to feel just as passionately on the other end of the spectrum? Who are the guys who will generate the biggest arguments on draft night?

I think Knecht and Clingan have to be the most polarizing. I think what it comes down to with those two guys is that I for one think they are what they're going to be, maybe Clingan develops a jumper, and what they are seems like the ceiling is fifth best starter or sixth man.

I get it that this isn't a great draft class and so a lot of these guys have way lower floors than the two above but if you're a bad team, like we are, then I think you want your team searching for guys with superstar or at the very least all star upside. I don't think Knecht or Clingan have close to that upside.

I agree we should search for higher upside - it doesn't have to be superstar or allstar though, it just needs to be above average starter. Neither Knecht nor Clingan nor Edey have that. At best they are bench players or flawed starters.

Clingan -> Some say top 5 pick... I would not touch him before 14

Holland -> some have him falling out of the lotto... I have him a top 5 talent in this draft

Salaun -> getting top 10 buzz. I have him after 20 and behind Dadiet as a prospect

Polarizing [to me] for the Blazers …

The only short guard at 14 would be Sheppard. We’ve had enough height-and-defensively-challenged-starting-guards. Sheppard is polarizing if he’s in the upper half of the lottery … coincidentally. I can see where I’d like him at 7, but he’d need to be a PG or have a serious defender with height running the show or be THAT much of a sniper.

Topic with his knee and wingspan has become more polarizing to others, but is much less so to me as a reasonable pick at 7 given his height and skills.

The Blazers need shooting, so Holland, Buzelis, and Castle (most to least) are polarizing to me at 7 (or above)… with Buzelis or Castle after 7 or with 14. I prefer others.

Clingan and Knecht are okay at 7, but I don’t agree with either one at 1-3 or lower than 11. If 5 others I prefer are gone in the top 5 (or Cronin plays it safer), then that’s what it is, and I won’t be happy about not moving up. To me, they are 3rd or 4th best starters on a team … maybe 5th … they are polarizing if the Blazers move up from 7 to get either one.

Cody Williams and Salaun are not polarizing to me as they are two of my 5 favorites for swinging away … and I will be polarized going safe on both picks.

    Sarr
and Risacher are worth some overpay to move to the Top 2. Not Sharpe. Not the 2025 lottery pick. Of most likely an all star, these are 2 of the possibles, IMHO.

If Bronny isnt the most polarizing, i must not understand the question. If it weren't for his father he would go undrafted and be a gleaguer at best.

I think he’ll probably still go undrafted.

He’s polarizing to draft him from 1 through 49 … but someone doing it for Lebron is what is polarizing … just like with Dame’s cousin … though Dame wasn’t 40 years old. A lifetime achievement award for Lebron.

Not me. I hope the Lakers pass on him at 55 thinking they can pick him up as a free agent, then with the 58th pick Dallas drafts him.
