What a difference a series can make. At the end of the WCF, many people were calling Luka the best player in the league. Not so much anymore.

He's single-handedly keeping them semi-competitive. Luka is clearly better than anyone on Boston's roster, but Boston has five guys comparable to Dallas's #2's (Kyrie) overall impact. Add in the fact that they're switchable from 1 through 5 (likely one of the most unique teams ever in that respect), and he's at a severe disadvantage on both ends of the floor.

Agreed 100%. It's a team game and Boston is very good.

Connor McDavid is showing the same thing in the NHL, with his Oilers about to lose, too.

Luka was the best player in the NBA during the Minnesota series. He sliced and diced Conley, Edward's Gobert, and Towns was taking a nap.

against Boston ?? Holiday & White are pests. Tatum & Brown are both physically gifted 2-way players. Horford, Porzingus, Tillman patrol the rim. Even Doogie Hauser gets his slap happy on.

Boston is playing very good team defense. When the Timberwolves did adjust the gravity towards Luka, Kyrie took over with All-Star scoring.

Not saying it's Irving's fault the Mavs can't beat Boston. What I'm saying is the earth was flat during the WCF. The court has definitely been rounded by the Celtics defense.

ok, maybe pumped was the wrong verb. Mavs fans look like it's a casual Friday night basketball game. Getting down 3-0 drained the life out of Mavs fans

Celtics can't do anything right. Mavs up 18. Coach Mazzulla needs a timeout to straighten things up

No team has ever come back from being down 0-3. It won't start now.
