    Final score 8-1 yanks as the machine rolls on. Cole 4ip, 70 p and 10k’s tonight. Looks ready to come back to the big club. Gil labored tonight and probably could use a skip in the rotation. When Cole returns.

    Verdugo has fared better in NY than I thought he would and I was obviously please with his game last night, but personally, I wish he had acted like the return to Fenway was no big deal.

    And from now on, when he has a bad game in Boston and he will, the fans there will give him an ear full.
