Who do you think Detroit should take? Try to be a fan or the GM for the team, rather than who you want to have them take based on your Blazers fandom.

Tomorrow morning I'll set up another poll with the results factored in .
    1. Atlanta: Alex Sarr, France
    2. Washington: Zacharie Risacher, France
    3. Houston: Reed Sheppard, Kentucky
    4. San Antonio, Stephon Castle, UConn
    5. Detroit
    6. Charlotte
    7. Portland
    8. San Antonio
    9. Memphis
    10. Utah
    11. Chicago
    12. Oklahoma City
    13. Sacramento

I voted Ron Holland. They need to swing big. They already have Cade at PG and Duren at Center.

Knecht could be a Rip Hamilton for them. Or trade spots with Portland at 7 to get him.

I went with Buzelis. Good upside and a bit of size on a team that doesn't have a ton of it (only Wiseman, Mezu, and Duren are over 6'9" on the roster).

Looking at their depth chart it does look like the 4 spot is their biggest position of need:

    Cade
    Ivey
    Asur
    ?
    Duren

Asur Thompson is a good rebounder for an SF but can't shoot.
Buzelis is a solid pick for them even though I think he is more of a SF.

Salaun might be the better long-term solution but it sounds like they are getting impatient. So I see where they might want Grant. But in the end, I think the pick will be Buzelis.

Isnt there some sort of relation between Buzelis agent and Pistons owner?

It’s definitely worth mentioning that Matas Buzelis’ agent is… Michael Tellem. Of course Michael is the son of Pistons’ vice chairman, Arn Tellem. #DetroitBasketball[IMG]

Arn Tellem is the Piston's VP and Matas Buzelis's agent is Michael Tellem, Arn's son. Detroit's Senior Director of Pro Scouting/Senior Director of Player Personnel is Eric Tellem, Arn's other son.

So there's definitely some family vibes going on there.

They should trade down and draft Knecht.

We know it's most likely that they take Matas... but for a franchise that reportedly wants to start winning, I thought the most NBA-ready prospect would be the best choice for them.

I picked Knecht for them. Even though I’d like to get him on the blazers.

Those sneaky Pistons are going to snag Cody Williams before the Blazers can grab him. They need a 3/4 Forward really bad.

He does weigh about 3/4 of what a forward in the NBA needs to....

He'll fill out. He's going to be great. Blazers should move up and get Cody.

How would that work in this draft? He could go to 6, 7, 8, 9 or 10.
How far do they trade down and how much is it worth it for a team in this draft to move up a couple of spots? There would need to be someone at 5 that other teams really want badly.
Who is that? If they really like Knecht they should just take him at 5.
