Why would the Blazers care about high level assistant coaches?

They want to save cash with low cost assistants and get a high draft pick.

And I think he could help them get a high draft pick!

As long as they are developmental and all on the same page you can't have too many, IMO.

Grant for a 2026 Lakers FRP. I'll do that.

Ya because that’s the only way to build a winning team.

I agree. If the 76ers wanted, they could actually absorb both Jerami AND Brogdon into their cap space.

What about the Pacers? Seems like the one gap in their lineup is at forward. I had to look up that their starting SF is Aaron Nesmith, about whom I know literally nothing. Anyone know anything about him? Anyone interested in getting him back as part of a package for Grant? (Maybe get Jarace Walker in there?)

(If I'm honest, I looked up the Pacers because they have three second round picks this year, and there are so many intriguing players, including draft-and-stash guys that I'd honestly be super happy with five second-round picks this year.)

Then the Pacers could roll out:
    Halliburton
    Mathurin
    Jerami
    Siakam
    Turner
    That's a contender right there!

a 24-year-old SF at 6'6" 216 lbs. He impressed the hell out of me during the playoffs.

Now that Kings have agreed to terms with Monk (per Woj) I'd say Grant is a logical target for them

OK, so Detroit is not a playoff team, but as part of their overhaul they might want Jerami back, AND:

    We could use an enforcer...

Why? What does he potentially bring them that Barnes and Murray don't? I see their roster needs at SG and an athletic defensive Big

I really wanted Walker in the last draft and valued him at least as much as anyone else available at #3. Being so young (he turns 20 next September), I didn't expect him to play much last year and he didn't but he did flash some game. One year later you'd think the Pacers would have a pretty good idea of who they'd be giving up on. I doubt they'd part with him unless red flags were raised and/or the package coming back truly upgraded their current roster.

    Grant = Huerter + Murray + 13
Huerter rehabbing left shoulder surgery. Murray on a better timeline. 13 is for SAC getting the best player. SAC is win-now and Grant provides that better. Murray is a solid to good starter.
Grant can be traded for a higher pick, but this one is doable and Murray was a high pick just 2 years ago. So there’s that.

    13 + 14 to move up for a Top 10 pick.
