Oh yeh and Dante shot .695 to Clingan's .650 Definite not saying he is better than Clingan, just giving some perspective.

Don't think it's necessarily hype but just shows this draft class is a total crap shoot and there's no clear number 1.

I am starting to wonder if the Blazers have been trying to put Clingan's name out there when that was just a smokescreen and the guy they really want is Z.Risacher or Sarr at 3 and maybe there is already a deal in place or close to in place . I am prolly wrong but we shall see cannot wait for next week.

    I don't understand why Sheppard isn't the clear #1.

Best shooter to come out in years, good handle and good passing, decent defense. He's more of a lock to be a good rotational player than anyone in this draft.

Probably the same reason Dame was a #6 pick ... 6'2" tall.

what if we are trying to move up for Castle. Move Ant and roll out Sharpe/Scoot/Castle as the back court.

you just said rotational player and #1 in the same sentence. the question with reed I think is whether he has the handles to play the 1. else, he might need a very specific type of jumbo PG to play next to him in the starting lineup, a la Ant.

And if that isn't possible, then you're talking about a supersub rotational player at #1.

We have discussed this and IMHO if we were to draft Castle, we should move Scoot, not Ant.

In most drafts I'd agree - but this years #1 is like a normal years #10.

Nobody in this draft has elite star ceilings - even Sarr who most the year was #1 ranked just won't ever have the offense to be a star. At best he's a Jaren Jackson type which is yes nice but way below a normal year #1 expectations as well. Clingan and Edey are limited minute backups at best.

Sheppard ceiling might be like a Stockton or Nash or heck Curry - even if those are rather unlikely. I mean of course a hall of famer is unlikely. But Sheppard is young at 19 and dominated college shooting. His floor is pretty dang high as well so its a great blend of being a safe rotation player at worst but still very nice upside if he hits.

I think it's total BS, I'd be surprised he goes top 5

I'm not debating that, but the thing with reed is, even in his star upside outcome, how would he fit on a good team? what would those lineups look like? that's more my point. I'm driving the 'this draft blows' bandwagon.

Ant needs to go. You can not have that defense when you r trying to set a culture in the clubhouse.

Looks like Charlotte and Memphis are trying to move up to 3 to get Clingan.

What am I missing on DC, looks like a big white stiff with no range to me. How many dudes his size did he even play against in college? Fuck drafting him or trading up for him.

There’s a million possibilities I’d like to see us do with our picks. Drafting Clingan or Edey are at the bottom of the list

He makes wide open 3’s in scrimmage though
