A lot of sites had Collier as #1 or 2 in their preseason mocks. I'm a little surprised he's not staying at SC another year.
1. Don't get pissy. 2. It helps if you read the FULL titles of the threads. They're about different ASPECTS of the draft. Ed's point is that basically all the threads in this forum are about the Blazers, so why not just have one (by your logic). I will never understand the calls for thread parsimony. They are one of nature's most renewable resources!
Does anyone have Givonys final mock? He got almost every pick right last yr. I hate how it's behind a paywall.

As a Knecht fan, the comment caught my eye: "Rival teams say they would be surprised to see Knecht fall past both the Portland Trail Blazers and San Antonio at No. 7 and No. 8, where he also seems to be coveted. "
So much groupthink with these mocks, but i would be very unhappy if Daron Holmes ends up with Denver at 28. I have him in my top 10. Checks so many boxes. And he and Toumani were teammates at Dayton in 22-23.
I think @hoopsjock said the Blazers have Knecht a tier above the Salaun/Williams/Holland/Buzelis crew.
It's odd that Givony has Walter going to us at 14, and has so for quite a while. Also his "mock draft" is not the same as his big board. The mock draft is based on what he "thinks" will happen. Blazers didn't even bring in Walter for a workout but he was the first prospect profile that Casey wrote. It's just odd.
Agreed, I hate the huge threads. I prefer dozen+ threads with a narrow subject that grow then die. Maybe after 30 posts a thread just gets locked.... Think I'd prefer that.
I just love the idea of Knecht with Scoot. And he has that killer instinct that we have been debating about Sharpe. But I'm also okay with Cody or Salaun. I love all the possibilities.
If we take Clingan at 7 I'd love to then take Edey at 14. The spectacle of having quad centers with Ayton/Clingan/Edey/Duop would be just way too entertaining. Maybe we could get another PG to add to Scoot/Simons/Brogdon and have quads at the biggest and smallest positions. For a league that is going for dynamic switching wings from SG-PF it would be a total zag move. Hey the Wolves made the WCF with three centers right? (Gobert/Towns/Reid)
The Ben Gollive mock for the Washington Post: first 14 only. Salaun and Holland to Portland; SA takes Clingan at 5 and Williams at 8. https://www.washingtonpost.com/sports/2024/06/25/nba-draft-2024-mock-draft/
Does he (I'm not arguing I'm asking legitimately, what have you seen that makes you feel comfortable saying that?) The fact that he's a super senior doesn't give you pause there? Scares the shit outa me...
His killer instinct was on full display two years ago when he was getting 8.9 ppg as a 20 year old junior, starting part time for Northern Colorado! I know there are a couple of posters I like who like Knecht, but... I just am not buying it. Too little sample size with a game that I don't see transferring to the NBA for me to want him as a Blazer in the top 10.
