    Leading up to that trade was getting beyond nauseating with "the Blazers need to do right by Dame" talk after he requested a trade to Miami.

    Durant has a track record of demanding to go to the team that was just in the finals - so would that be Boston or Dallas? Maybe he would want to rejoin Kyrie - or maybe he got jealous watching him and wants to be traded FOR Kyrie.

    Well sure, I remember when the Lakers signed all those one year vets a few seasons ago in Dwight Howard, Rondo, Melo, with all the bets put on them to win the title and they ended up in the lottery.

    Not sure what kind of argument your trying to make when none of GS or either LA team won a playoff series - and we had small market Indy/Minnesota/etc in the conference finals.

    The salary cap and new CBA are real constraints. GS/Clippers can't spend endlessly any longer. The Lakers never have spent like that as their owners aren't as rich as many small market owners.

    Pick a GM outside of the Chicago GM and Cronin is out matched so just got to hope there is someone else in the front office that can make sure Cronin does not do something super stupid

    I do not think it's a overpay in terms of the new CBA and I believe that will kick in when this deal starts

    Nope. A defensive player of the year candidate year in, year out and he can be your #2 on offense every year. Not a lot of players like that in the league.
