A team can have three two way players and I don't think the guys we have already there are really super players.
I woulda took both the players we just drafted over several players currently sitting at the end of our bench.
Are we securing draft picks to up the price of the franchise at the expense of improving the team. There is always a nugget in the second round. Dam take a chance at a low cost salary.
They won't be great, but it's simply small asset collection. They'll all likely be traded before 2027 comes around anyway.
Jody needs to sell and Chauncey needs to be fired. Keep Cronin for now, I bet he’s being told to make some of these moves.
So we started with 4 picks and we'll probably end up with just Clingan? This makes me afraid that Cronin is really going to hang on to all our vets (apart from Brogdon, obvs.)
We're still -2 second round draft picks overall in the next 5 years. We have 7 outgoing and now 5 incoming.
There’s contributors taken in the 2nd round every year. Especially at 34. The coaching staff is like why in the fuck did you waste our time working out 44 players only to just kick the can down the road
We do have a ton of roster spots. They're currently being kept warm by players with names like Banton and Murray.
There is value in understanding when not to make selections too... I am certain that all the time "wasted" to evaluate all these people helped in the decision to skip them...
Actually I'm wrong. We're even. In 2027 Charlotte gets swap rights with our second round pick. We then traded that pick top 55 protected for Banton. So I guess it's possible we lose that pick if we're a top 5 team then, but unlikely.
