We have a ton of roster spots? Most these second rounders won't even have as good of careers as marginal players like Banton and Murray. Hard for me to get too worked up about this either way. Nothing burger.
We traded 34 and 40 for future picks in the high 40's - 50's in drafts that will likely have weaker 2nd round talent (this year was exceptional). Awful. Deflating. Pointless.
Based on great players we passed on in the past in late and second round not sure their evaluation process is all that great. Dam take a swing at a position of need or to replace a traded vet.
I agree that this was probably a very good year because of all the 5th year Covid guys. That's not going to happen again (well, ignoring Bird Flu...)
I evaluated Dalano Banton and I conclude that there are plenty of players in this second round I'd cut him for
Spurs took Nunez. I trust them. Knicks took Kolek. I trust them. We don't have a single fucking decent pass-first point guard right now. Brogdon was the only one who knew how to run the team and he's gone.
This year has exceptional 2nd round talent? How do you know the strength of the 2027 2nd round draft class already?
Fuck, Kings just took Shead to replace Davion Mitchell (and presumably back up Carter). Greedy bastards.
Well, for each of them, someone has to come off the current roster. Apparently the Blazers didn't feel those players make us any better than what we already have. I like some of those prospects, but I'm not sure they're improvements on what the Blazers already have.
If it ALSO had exceptional talent, then that would be unusual, wouldn't it, given what "exceptional" means
No they traded that pick to the Raptors earlier today. So far, no team in the second round has used their own pick.
