    This I would be OK with because I do think it would help with his development. Even if it was just for the tryout for the Canadian team:

    The other name being bandied about was Portland’s Shaedon Sharpe. The Trail Blazers would love it for his development, his agency would love it for his profile and Canadian officials want him around the program with an eye to the 2026 World Cup and 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.

    I would like to officially veto Clingan playing in summer league. I have seen too many of our prized rookies get hurt. No thanks. Nothing to be gained having him play.

    I don’t think you will see Scoot or Sharpe play.
    Clingan yes.
    The rest will be players looking to make the practice squad.

    Sharpe I believe even if not on the team is traveling with the Canadian Nat. team for the Olympics so he is out and Scoot my guess is he might play one to two games then just practice with them.

    'Rupes' needs the court time and confidence as does Badji. And Clingan maxed at 22 mpg in the last two seasons so it's not like there aren't center minutes available.

    Yeah, I would like to see a starting 5 of Scoot, Rupert, Murray, Camara and Clingan.
    With Ellis, Badji, Cui, and whoever rounding out the team

    This is Olympic season and it's possible he could be like Sharpe is with the Canadian team but with the French team OR the Blazers will add him to the roster tomorrow it's still too early and maybe the whole Olympics thing is a factor so let it play out.

    I swear people do not read I never said he would be on the team but like Sharpe he might be traveling with them or whatever it's called cause maybe they see him on the team in 4 to 8 years.

    Summer league is a guard game bigs generally never get the ball in summer league. I just hope to see some good defense from Clingan.
