I think Shae already has an open runway for himself. I just wish he became more assertive. Scoot, from a mpg perspective, also will get his 30mpg with Brogdon now gone. It isn’t like Scoot’s play is demanding more minutes. He needs to drastically improve his finishing inside and limit the turnovers. Scoot also is going to have guys like Avdija, who can shoot, and Kris, who will come around on his shooting. Clingan is a good pick setter by all accounts. He will get to play with Shae at times, and Camara might show signs of becoming a shooter. It’s not like he’s being set up to fail. Earn the spot imo. But if Ant was gone, I’m not upset.

Clingan is already going to get 18mpg if DA plays 30mpg at C. Let DA and Clingan play together for a 6 min stretch per game, and he could average like 22mpg. He never averaged more than 22-24mpg in college, are you expecting 30mpg right away?

Imo, what wouldn’t be building good habits is conforming to a 20 year old’s limitations, meaning starting Scoot for the hell of it. I don’t have a problem with the missed shots, shoot as much as you want, but the turnovers really hurt the flow of the game.

Give Scoot what he needs to succeed, don’t hand anything over to him too easily.

This is already a given. They’ve been overly cautious with injuries on purpose. With or without trading Ant and Grant, we will lose enough games.

I’d be just fine and dandy with that.

    Scoot/Black/Deni
    Shae/Black/Rupert
    Grant/Deni/Kris/Rupert
    Deni/Camara/Kris/Walker
    DA/Clingan/Reath

Put him there if you want, I don’t have him on the roster cause he isn’t a long term fit, same with Thybulle.

So now we know the price. Two firsts.

And if they strike out on Klay we might see them agree.

No. They have plenty of salary to match Grant.

Sounds more like it’s Rui/Vincent/2 picks.

So I was wondering about that….. if we add ANOTHER 2029 pick, is that pick also subject to the wizards second best pick stipulation?

    Alternatively could be DLo/Vando/picks.

Id be good with either, but Id prefer the DLo & Vando package

No, it's between whatever picks were owned at the time of the trade. That'd be like if Milwaukee traded for the #1 pick in 2028, we wouldn't be able to swap our pick with that one, just with their pick. The language of the deal is 2nd best of portland, Boston and Milwaukee
