If you believe the reports, we want 2 picks and they don't want to do that. But if they strike out on Klay, I think that might make them more amenable.
If the lakers think another old timer will make them contenders with the likes of NY, PHI, and BOS, then more power to them. Klay does not the needle move at this point in his career.
I honestly do not understand why they would want either one. They just extended Malik Monk, they have De'Aaron Fox, they should be able to find cheaper backup combo guard than Ant or Levine.
Don’t worry guys, Cronin is just waiting for some bread crumbs or leftovers. Still early. But we’ll get there.
Nope. Not a fan of Knecht... He is in essence 'filler' This would require a few pick swaps too. The trouble is that the Laker's available picks to trade align with the Bucks. They can provide swaps in '28 & '30 (when we already have swaps with Bucks), and they can trade the '29 (we already have 2 picks here) and '31.
Nico has retired. Will play for the national team in France this summer and that's it. Damn good career for a late 1st round pick.
The FO (reportedly) is higher on him than you are, so it's unlikely that they would consider him filler. I doubt they'd offer that much for Grant; it's not like he's an all-star. 2 FRP's (or Knecht and 1) is likely the most "value" we can expect the Lakers to offer.
