Likely only the Hawks one. The Spurs are going to take a jump next season (unless Wemby gets injured).
A top 3 pick in this draft is like striking gold. Which is why we should rid ourselves of Grant and Simons and go all in.
Agreed. And the worst record only guarantees a top 5 pick. If we start out in the 2 or 3 slot, there is yet another chance that we drop to 7 or worse. Can't have that happen again. Mindset has to be to secure that worst record, bar none. This is the last year to try to do this.
Yes but I like the due diligence of all prospects. Also interesting that Chauncey is there. I have been saying for a while that I predict him transitioning to a FO role.
Someday we may hear "Rebuild like the Spurs". See... Blazer fans get to use this rebuild as a practice run, before the true rebuild begins.
He "plays bigger" in a sort of Dwayne Wade/Josh Hart kind of way while retaining guard skills. I'm really excited to watch him this upcoming season and see if he's a fall-back option in case we can't land Flagg or Bailey.
Yeah... Completely agree. I think if you combine the last 2 drafts & the 2025 draft class - you'd come up with the following: 1) Wemby ('23) 2) Flagg ('25) 3) Bailey ('25) 4) Harper ('25) 5) Traore ('25) 6) Edgecombe ('25) 7) Miller ('23) 8) Scoot ('23) 9) Amen ('23) 10) Risacher ('24)... maybe?
