Pork belly bites smoking away. Which is a precursor for some ribeyes, corn on the cob and Yukon gold potato salad. Finish it up with my wife’s strawberry shortcake cheesecake! Proud Biden supporter and proud American! no fireworks though. I’m sure some of the neighbors will be blasting off cannons
Happy 4th everyone! I'm having a quiet one on the hill caring for my wife who is down with a cold....son is having a big barbeque with his friends and all the kids...this year I decided to stay cool and stay home...just went to the store yesterday to buy bananas and apples and there must have been 4 overflowing carts ahead of me in line and one checkout stand open...lesson in patience and timing. I would never make someone with 2 items wait for me to checkout a full cart of stuff....choices. Holidays I like to stay off the road and out of the chaos. Hopefully this isn't our last Independance day as a nation.
Lighter fluid? No fucking way. Ruins the taste. Bad for environment. Use a chimney starter and yesterday's newspaper.
Got the ooni out to cook up a big batch of pizzas later on tonight. Dough is on the rise, just finished cutting up some fresh basil, cooked up the italian sausage. Slicing some fresh mozarella and whipping up a batch of pizza sauce next
Happy 4th of July everyone. I had a major setback in early March. I will post about it when I get the chance. I am nearly back to where I was before the setback. I also finally have a diagnoses. Sitting in front of my AC unit. Made some popcorn in my new air popper. Not looking forward to the fireworks tonight, but the heat may also cause problems sleeping. Thankfully the fireworks usually only get bad for one night in my area. At least today, I feel better than I have in months. So it is a good day.
