Republican leaders are blaming the crisis on Trump not allowing the passing of the bill. Read more. Or listen more. Or do something. Just stop the incessant oblivious Trump BS toilet flushing cycle you're currently stuck in.
Let's not cloud the issue with facts when we could have cognitively-deficient psychopath Trump telling us what to do. I'm guessing Beast will be storming the Capitol when Trump doesn't win the next election.
I don't think you're wrong here. I don't like Biden. I like Trump a hell of a lot less. I freaking despise Trump. We need to get serious about fixing our election and political system.
I just hope in 2028 that Democrats don't forget that they made the most sensible voting bloc in the country preface their pro Biden arguments with a hypothetical endorsement of the candidate if he was dead or in a coma.
Just a random brain fart thought. 250 years ago, we started a war over high taxes. Our revolutionary war started over a tax on tea. A 2% tax. Think about that before voting for more costly social prograns, and higher taxes.
I think we just need to stop qualifying this and Democrats, heck, all sensible Americans, need to stop making this a referendum about Biden. Biden did achieve a lot in his term. That's not disputable, although some will spin it. He got infrastructure done. He was able to enact some important pharmacy reform. The economy did well, even more so when you compare its performance in comparison with the rest of the world and what he inherited from Trump. Really, the biggest thing is this should be a referendum on Trump being an existential threat to our country. However, if you want to make it not just a Biden or Trump issue, if you want to make it a level, impartial playing field, OK, let's do that: Age: Draw. One's 78 and one's 81. Cognitive ability: Draw (and that's being generous to Trump, who has a video library messing up names and slurring his speech that would make an alcoholic blush on Saturday at 2 a.m, talked nonsense about sharks and batteries and confused the woman he raped with his ex-wife). History of public service: Biden Achievements as a public servent: Biden Qualifications of cabinet and administrative staff: Biden Potential of a qualified successor if one is needed: Biden Didn't incite an insurrection: Biden Not linked to Jeffrey Epstein: Biden
In 2028, if the superdelegates supersede what the voters want you might see a revolt in the Democratic Party
Biden has been a great President for labor and it’s not even debatable. So many bills passed that have created jobs and helped the American worker, union and non union. That’s huge for me. I’m a big time pro labor Democrat. https://theconversation.com/bidens-...her-grade-than-any-president-since-fdr-228771 As much as Republicans will try and deflect and downplay, the facts are there. He also bailed out thousands of pensions for union workers in the Midwest who will still vote against him
The Dems will forget about it. That's the system we have. We need to change things. We need a single open ranked choice primary with the top 4 candidates moving on to the ranked choice general. In as many states as possible, as well as eventually nationally, We need to adopt ranked choice voting (or similar). We need to get rid of gerrymandering. These are changes we can make, that can tip the scales regardless of Citizens United. These changes greatly restrict the power of the parties to choose their preferred candidates and greatly increases the difficulty of corporations to influence elections. We should also do everything possible to make sure that elections are publicly funded.
But, hey, the plan Trump's unveiled if he wins this election will help the rich and only affect everyone else in a negative way, so he does have that.
Here’s the fresh turd behind your fart: Our country was founded by a bunch of rich assholes who used slave labor to maximize profits and wanted to exterminate the indigenous population. Maybe we can try something a bit less… traditional in the next 250 years.
Oh the founding fathers would have loved him I’m sure but just like the founding fathers he should not be making policy in 2024 because that’s 200 years too late to be relevant.
