Predictable. I thought when this first happened and that image of him pumping his fist would really give him a surge in the electorate. Then I realized that was 25 years ago and we're living in post-modernism now and the social media posts actually seem to be making fun of him for the most part for doing that, like they think it seems inauthentic. I don't think this is going to give him a real boost anymore. Such strange times we live in. Never thought I'd live to see this.
His base is definitely more energized to vote for him in November. I think this derails the whole put a bullseye on Trump rhetoric for at least a month or two, as he can argue that it's the sort of talk that got an innocent bystander killed. Father time is undefeated though, and his cousin, the 24 hour news cycle, is a gifted amateur about to turn pro. Still plenty of time left on the clock.
The same people who were excited to vote for him July 12th are the same people excited today. The group who wasn't? still isn't.
