After January 6 Republican leaders and most elected officials denounced insurrection and Trump's role inciting it. Republican party at inflection point. They could have stuck with Constitution and remained a conservative party. But Trump, far from appalled at monster he created, gloried in it. The Republican party could split into Constitutional Republicans and Trumpers. And lost power at least for a time. So in the end they, with no more than a handful of dissenters, chose power. Trump simply can't stop himself, again praising late great Hannibal Lecter in acceptance speech. Abnormal psychiatry is way outside my area of expertise but this is fucking bizarre. He also praised head of Taliban. After Trump freed 5000 Taliban prisoners, he'd honcho addressed him as "your excellency". He gloated that Biden wasn't called that?

Doesn't matter. They'll all vote for the Dem regardless. Just a party trying to pick their preferred candidate who will make the donors happy. Same as always. Biden was always a shitty candidate. It's just the strongest alternative in prior primaries (Bernie) would have really pissed off the wealthy donors (the lobbyists who pay for the privilege of actually writing the DNC agenda).
