No, I didn't propose that to make it more fair. I proposed it to spare the country the expense and distraction of overly long campaigns. More fair would involve reversing Citizens United, having campaign finance laws with teeth, ranked-choice voting, getting rid of the electoral college, etc. barfo
So you are admitting that these people are crooks and need pardons. Thank you some of us have been suspect for a long time.
He's a crook. By his definition, he's not a crook if he gets away with it. By the world's definition, he's a crook if he does the crime.
What candidate who has led going into the convention with all primaries done has declined the nomination? I think it's actually is novel in that respect unless I'm missing something and I'm pretty confident I'm not. And it's distinct from dying insofar as it is voluntary... so I think the question of fairness absolutely is in play here. Finally: of course SOME people don't get the candidate they vote for because they got outvoted. That's the nature of democracy. It's by definition non-democratic to have a candidate that most people did not vote for win. That doesn't mean it's unfair, necessarily, but having Trump lose the popular vote and win the electoral college and therefore the Presidency is the within the (non-democratic) rules of the game and everyone knew the rules going in. I don't know many people who voted for Biden thought he'd wait until 100 days before election day and drop out after espousing he was the way to save democracy.
No, I'm "admitting" that many of the MAGAs are very paranoid and believe some pretty crazy shit. Pardoning for nothing would send many of them off the deep edge. See Qanon for example.
Is it more unfair than voting FOR Biden only because he was the only Democratic candidate on the ballot when there were other Democrats you would definitely have supported more than the 81 years-old geezer on the ballot?
This is a fucking fake! I know Biden is old...but I say there's at least a 60% chance his demise was "helped along". Let's Review: 1. He and his staff keep reiterating that they are NOT dropping out 2. He complains that powerful people are trying to pressure him to drop out. 3. He gets "covid" and isn't seen or heard from since, except for a tweet, and a resignation letter with a weird signature and not on official letterhead. Maybe he pops back up and is fine, but I think he'll be gone by the end of the week.
Yes, I agree, with those descriptors, it is novel. So should he be forced to run for president? Seems like that would raise some questions too. Well, good thing you went to the electoral college next so that I didn't have to... Maybe. I think there probably were and still are a bunch of people who don't know that the electoral college exists or don't know how it works. By the same token, 'everyone' knows that a candidate has the right to withdraw his candidacy. Or at least, they should have, logically. Nice to see you posting again, by the way! barfo
Is this Joe Biden "re-emerging" from his hiatus, or a body double? He walks up the stairs a bit too spryling
What’s the context in that video, do you know? Was it a recent event? That’s definitely not Joe Biden.
That's how we know Elvis is still alive and running the whole world. We see his body doubles all over the place.
I remember when the Putin is dead/has a body double theories were rampant on this site and on liberal twitter. That was fun.
Neat, I remember when MAGA thought James Woods was playing the role of Joe Biden. Doesn't make this any less stupid.
