    I'm not sure it does...

But appearance is what matters here for the Lakers.

Really hoping that the Lakers love Knecht.
Still hoping more for a Sacramento trade. I think them getting DeRozan should make them interested in another forward who can hit threes (not a strength for Demar).

I thought that was only available when there was an option year, either player or team, and Markkanen had no option in his current deal, only a partial guarantee, and the full guarantee has already been picked up

no biggie, it could be possible. Hard to see the Blazers being able to horn their way into Markkanen trade. Ainge will want all the assets for the Jazz nad he's not prone to sharing

Fox, Huerter, Murray, and Sabonis are all 36%+ from 3. I'm sure they think they're fine. But what are you thinking--Huerter, Lyles, and a first for Grant?

I do too, but I'm not sure the Blazers do with Clingan on the team and getting back Rui. We've already heard rumblings that Bari has been offered in multiple deals. I get it, but I love that he's an elite level rebounder. They don't want to give him another contract.

There's nothing the Kings have that would be as good as the Lakers potential package of 2 firsts or 1 first and Knecht. And don't bring up mediocre Keegan. He's meh.

    Yeah, good point about Clingan.
Walker, IMO, fits well next to Grant and Ayton. But maybe not as much next to Clingan and Camara.

Yeah, I could see how Rui would be a much better fit with those two.

Huerter kind of fell off for them last semester after looking like he was the difference the previous season, and with DeRozan arriving he falls out of the rotation, I imagine (especially if Devin Carter lives up to his "most NBA-ready" rep).

I mean I'm not a huge fan of that package either, but I think the players are more flippable than the Lakers' drek.

Yeah, even though Rui could start for us this next season, he still is essentially a role player who would ideally come off the bench once we get an upgrade. I am ok with him and Dalton (and Gabe) for Grant. One FRP would seal the deal, but I am not sure it would be a deal-breaker for me. The Lakers would have to take on Grant's contract, and although he is worth it, it is still a plus for us not having it. That has to be factored in.

I need at least 2 firsts or one with Knecht. The other players involved are irrelevant to me.

I don't see Rui being a part of our future so his role on this team is strictly as salary to be used in future trades.

    Same with Vincent.

Ball wise, I don't there's some huge chasm in talent between Rui and Jerami, especially considering impact. Maybe Grant would be better on a winning team.

If you don't think there is a huge difference between the two, then why can't he be part of the future? He is 26 and he shot 42% from deep last year. I don't see him as a future starter, but if he can keep that up he would be a solid bench player moving forward.

If Rui or Knecht is doing it for you, I question your basketball acumen

Rui is better than anyone in your trade.
