Last Olympics "Sport Climbing" was a combination of Lead Climbing, Bouldering, and Speed Climbing. Since speed climbing is sort of a joke, they separated it out from the other two. Beijing was the first Olympics to have any type of climbing. Bouldering and Lead Climbing are worth the watch, speed climbing is pretty monotonous in my opinion.

Seeing a new record set is always amusing though. They look like frilled lizards running on water; dynoing all the way up.

    He’s right!
I could not have told you one name of a member of the men’s gymnastics team.

Men’s gymnastics is pretty boring. But it was awesome to see how pumped those guys were. Their energy was infectious.

Ukraine won their first medal, a bronze in fencing. The fencer has been disqualified from world competition last year when she refused to shake hands with a Russian opponent.
Well, the Ukraine girls really knock me out!

That Australia v Canada rugby final was a crazy finish. I'll be honest, I don't really understand the scoring, but Canada came back from 12-0 to win 21-12 in the final minutes.

Massive upset from the Canadian women's rugby team over the Australians.

I must say, rugby 7's is fun to watch.

Seemed like 5 points for a try, then 2 more for a post-try conversion. The conversion part was interesting...seems like they have to kick the conversion attempt from wherever they cross the line into the try zone, which I could see having an impact on strategy.

France demonstrating that you can't win without at least half-decent guards.

    Makes sense.

USA sends home Australia without a medal!

Wilt could have done this. He was an incredible beach volleyball player after he retired.

I think this performance should persuade the Lakers they have the player they need, and refuse to lose the best player in the trade.
