Prisoner swap with Russia. Wall Street Journal writer Evan Gershkovitz, former Marine Paul Whelan and a Russian dissident released. Yes, US had to give back to Russia some bad people. But two Americans and a dissident free and safe. A very big deal. Not bad for senile guy. Note Trump said he could get Americans released by himself....
I like seeing the truth but that doesn't change the fact that when voting in politics you make a choice that is probably not your ideal choice but is the choice with the most damage control....if you don't like the "lesser of two evils" saying, maybe you'll understand the "false equivalency" saying. A soldier could shoot to kill or take someone prisoner and treat them according to the Geneva convention...one is the lesser of two evils. If a candidate wants authoritarian rule and to destroy civil rights legislation, it's not the same as one who wants to maintain a military budget and alliances around the globe. Choices...be careful judging folks for their personal convictions and more than not, less than ideal options at the voting booth. The truth about Joe's shortcomings doesn't change the fact that following my logic, he's the better choice for people who want personal freedoms to remain intact. The truth is, there has never been a more compulsive liar than Donald Trump. Joe is much more transparent and has much more tolerance and empathy towards all Americans than Trump ever has. I don't need to keep trauma from my view of the truth....it's part of the equation. I vote every election cycle and I've had to vote against the worst candidate more often than for the best candidate. I've asked many times but I'll ask again, who did you vote for in the last election and why? I voted Biden and can tell you without hesitating why.....he was the better option and it wasn't even close. I sincerely hope you vote. If you have voted, you have every right to complain. Like you, I also have many complaints about political theater.
Don't ever bother with me, unless you actually have something. That goes for everyone. Not one person would refute this video, that I posted the other day. (though one seemingly respected member here, did at least agree with it) I bring the truth. You want to bring something. Watch the video, and refute it with a logical answer, or link of your own. Or don't bother quoting me ever again. I can't respect anyone who isn't willing to bother looking at the truth. If your party can't be questioned. It isn't a debate, it is just a one-sided conversation. If you can look away from my links, don't ever bring me yours. Or your useless opinion. If you don't have to consider my links, I don't have to consider your links either. It is only fair play. I am done playing this game where a democrat gets to dictate to me how their own party is, and a republican gets to dictate to me how their party is. This may be an open forum. But either bring something, or sit down and STFU.
You need thicker skin to debate politics and you have the option to put people on ignore if you don't value their discourse. I hope you are not that close minded about these discussions that you would require people to like your video posting in order to find some sort of agreement about it. I haven't watched it yet but you don't need to make that personal or some sort of reason to segregate my opinions from yours. These conversations can be friendly and when they are not, I'll put that person on ignore...it works for me. I have one person on ignore and that's because of his tendency to insult and polarize every discussion with vitriol against most of the forum. Nobody needs that in their life in my view. Choices...there is plenty of bs in the democratic partty...not as much as the republican party but sure, they have their own bs...I won't argue that whether I watch your video or not....from what I've seen seeen 2020 democrats have gotten things done so the title of your video did not attract me to begin with
Incidentally, yes, Democrats get to decide what their party is and Republicans get to decide what their party is. They are not obligated to consult Road Ratt. We are free to decide how or if we vote but if you aren't part of an organization you don't decide what it is.
My, my my.......did you ever notice that some posters on this site (not pointing at anyone in particular) are narrow minded, immature and innately churlish, 24/7? I sure do wish I was I knew everything like some folks seem to think they do......
So much for people and their listening skills. Everyone ignored my post. So I didn't have to read their posts. Like I said, fair play. Edit: The video I posted literally shows all the sources they got their information from. It lives up the the standards of truth in journalism. If democrats won't even bother with a video that lives up to their own standards. There is no reason to ever believe a word they ever say. About anything at all. That goes to their kids, the movies they watched, etc. . If they can't get their facts straight with politics, why listen to their other lies as well.
I didn't ignore your post but if I did, so what? You've ignored my question to you repeatedly ...who did you vote for last election and why? I'm not the enemy. I've tried to be very supportive of your situation and tried to encourage you in my own feeble way...you seem to be fishing for adversaries here when I don't see that there are many
Nobody here gives a damn about your clap trap bs posts or what you have to say so why do you keep posting?
I watched your video just now and sure...it's nothing new...lobbyists and 1%ers control policy and budget allocations. Pharma, Oil and Arms dealers are powerful lobbies and have been all our lives. Joe at least has taken on big pharma for price goughing and accomplished capping prescription drug costs. In politics there has always been give and take. They bargain....if you want this then you must add that to it. There's nothing wrong with this video or it's content but it's not earth shattering or new news. The most shocking thing I'm seeing today is the GOP scrapping the separation of Church and State. Pay politicians in govt like we pay school teachers or firemen or soldiers and watch the greedy leave for the private sector. Most people are in favor of campaign finance reform
Your voodoo math is beyond delusional. But not the reason I responded. We need to start a thread dedicated only to keeping tract of the costs for all of the programs you support. Not sure how many trillions of $$$ you want to spend? But your spending spree is off the charts. Just so you get everything for free. Now, how to pay for all your programs without exploding inflation and the national dept.? 2 ideas. 1) Invade Canada 2) Sell California to China.
We can pay for healthcare with the money we already spend on healthcare. In fact, we could have the same universal healthcare Canada has with less than the money just our government already spends on healthcare. If we wanted better healthcare than that we could divert some of the money corporations currently spend and everyone would still save money. And corporations would save on having to manage it. And nearly everyone would have better access to healthcare. The numbers are already there. And Americans seek healthcare outside the US at higher rates than come to the US for healthcare. Also, US has higher infant mortality than other first world countries with universal healthcare and far lower costs. Same deal on many things. Universal healthcare is just superior in nearly every way. Most services I support pay for themselves or save us money.
The actual, verifiable information in the video, absolutely. However, the conclusions in the video--that the democratic party intentionally subverts their own agenda to keep the money-train flowing--are nothing but speculation, and do not need to be "refuted.
Congresswoman Nancy Mace, who is on vacation, tweeted this morning "Biden is MIA. Anyone ask where he is?" Didn't age well. Official White House account posted pictures of Biden with hostage families talking to released prisoners on phone with caption "he's been busy". Two hours later Mace took down tweet.
The very first quote of my post was quite the lesson in adult conversation skills, eh? When you get posts like that, as an autistic adult. I end up jumping in the ring with them. I play by the rules I see the conversation going. Jump in the ring and duke it out, or adult route. Even the adult route doesn't work. When all the person wants to do, is push you out of your position. Without even ever bothering to read an article you posted, or watch a video either. Most every post I make goes unread. I have no problem with that. But when people argue about the post without ever reading it, they aren't having a genuine adult conversation, in the first place. Just pouncing to cover their own ego. Predictable and unimpressive. In the end. As I see it. You can't have an adult conversation with people who don't want to see the truth about their party. Unless that "truth" is a positive towards their party. Adult conversations are a truly rare item in online politics. Politics shouldn't be pulling teeth to get people to do, what they should have done in the first place. Read the article, watch the video. If people can't do that in the first place. They shouldn't bother quoting anyone, ever. You aren't even trying to have a "good faith" adult conversation. Period. I would go on. But I am done here. I won't get anything from this. As it is already too late to salvage any conversations from the video I posted.
adult conversation, I asked who you voted for and why....you have never shown me that transparency in your political views...walk the walk if you want adult conversations...engaging with adults is a good start. I'm an adult and I don't need political agreement to discuss politics.
When someone calls other posters stupid, repeatedly, and calls us "waste of shit", well, not my idea of adult conversation.
