There's already an open category in sports. It's the men's division. Anybody can compete in the men's division (unless they are on steroids and have inhuman quantities of performance enhancing drugs).

There is no reason to create an "other" division to try and isolate people further.

What is so disgusting is this young woman, who worked her butt off getting to the Olympics, from a country that so far as I know isn't very supportive of women's sports, has her dream spoiled by ignorant assholes publicly humiliating her to promote a political agenda. What should have been so special for her is a nightmare.

Testes start out as ovaries, and the expression of hormones on them during late pregnancy is what turns them into balls.
