sucks for the people who had flown in or travelled. They don't get any of those funds refunded. Glad they discovered it before it happened.
I did a google search to read about this and try to get more info, and here is my takeaway. The internet ruined newspaper. NYT you can read articles and they ask for $1 a month... That's such a disgustingly low amount, but I guess if they have hundreds of millions paying a dollar a month. Meanwhile the washington post wont let you read their content without a subscription, which they ask $4 a month. Nothing compared to ESPN+ $10.99 a month to read who Kevin Pelton thinks is the biggest threat to team USA's gold medal (I don't have ESPN+ but spoiler alert, its whoever they play in the gold medal match). You can get it for free just about everywhere else.
