Good lord, even when it used to be if you finished with worse record you won the lottery and to see how productive that was for Wolves as an example, take a look at all great picks they had, along with several gm's/ownership & coaches. Now you are not guaranteed that #1 pick. Shit they had Garnett & Ray Allen back to back but traded Allen on Draft knight. Check above for the wolves draft history.

I certainly hope the in-season Tourney floor scheme is changed. I literally could not see the ball on TV. The red court they used camouflaged the burnt orange basketball. Combined with Root Sports low res broadcast, every ball fake and pump fake had me cringing ..
    ... who has the basketball?

Who said anyone is worried about it? We offer gambling in just about every bar, tavern, and deli in the state.

I certainly brought that up but he was adamant that the tribes would never work together like that. I was shocked actually.

Brother I’ve been to every arena in the league multiple times for over 20 years. The new arenas are all nice…. Older arenas are beat up and run down. Of the new arenas, the Moda is easily the best maintained. But you know that right, because you’ve been to all of them as well right?
You just come on here to stir shit up son?

    1. It's you're.

    2. It's biased.

    3. That is true. The Moda has been very well maintained since it was built.

Countless times have been proven they don’t, but that doesn’t stop him from making those ridiculous comments over and over. It is what it is.

He was referring to bias tape, used in sewing, obviously. So the error, which was likely autocorrected, was in so. Oh god, your sew bias!

so what’s the problem then? That one Native American tribe was going to pay for a new stadium in exchange for a casino in the city and they said no

They wanted the spot where the giant US Post Office facility was for the stadium. That would have been the worst spot for a stadium. Access and parking would have sucked.

Right. That's why you can't just try it a few times and be good with it. We need to be in the lotto for 5 years to have a good chance at getting guys like that.

You have a far higher chance of hitting higher in the draft than lower. 3 years with top 3 picks and you have an incredibly good shot of drafting an All Star.

    FTFY.

Dude your takes are already pure shit, don't undermine them even more by not knowing English... on top of everything else.

Edit: Oh and @THE HCP isn't biased because he works for an entity owned by the team. The dude is educated because he goes to every fucking arena in the league every fucking year. Just stick to your baseless negativity and stay out of words you don't understand.

When was the last time we added an All-Star or top 10 caliber player without drafting them? Was it Buck Williams? And Maurice Lucas before that?

And we had to give up our number two pick to get Buck Williams (which means we'll have to draft number two to repeat that). And we only got Morris Lucas because of the competing league folding (so that'll never happen again).

We don't add players like that unless we draft them here in Portland. When we traded Dame we condemned ourselves to indefinite mediocrity until we get incredibly lucky or incredibly smart in a lot of drafts. We were incredibly lucky to get Dame. And we were dumb to stop acquiring talent once we got him. We were dumber to let All Star talent leave when we let Aldridge leave.

It took us a long freaking time to get that lucky.

Our quickest way back to relevancy is to tank hard for a few more years. Unless we draft the next Larry Bird or Magic Johnson in the next one or two years.

We got incredibly lucky to get Dame where we got him. We can absolutely not count on getting players like Dame or Clyde where we got them.

That was just terrible ownership and management. I actually think we have a pretty good draft team.
