If it continues this season and Lafreniere is not on the first PP unit full time, this team even with Shesterkin will never win the cup. I'd like to see Kakko on the first PP as well on the point but you would have to take Kreider off with Zibanejad because you need Trochek out there to take the draws. You could make the case Trochek could be more in front and the need for a guy right in front of the goalie is less when you have a one time option in Lafreniere and Kakko on the right side.

Those two better improve their puck possession/protection and passing skills if they are the first PP. Playing with Fox, Trochek and Panarin will help for sure.

Spare us with the threats towards these two. Lafreniere was the 2nd best passer of our forwards. He fucking embarrassed Kreider, Trochek and Zibanejad with his skill last year. Only player on the entire roster that showed more skill was Panarin who didn't do it again in the playoffs. Kakko like Lafreniere has never been given a real chance to develop on the first PP unit. Kakko hasn't been given a real even strength line to develop on like Lafreniere finally did. You can't count Zibanejad and Kreider because those two dumb fucks can't play with anybody other than Buchnevich. The simple facts are the vets on this team have failed miserably in the playoffs. Only Kreider has had a decent amount of good moments. Their time is over. It's time to build around the young players if you ever want to do jack shit with Shesterkin.

Put Lafreniere on PP1, it is the right move and should be done, I won't disagree. With that said, it will not be the make or break for this team. Their PP is going to be very good, with Lafreniere on PP1 or PP2, what will go a long way in deciding the fate of the Rangers is their even strength play as you wrote in another post.

Do you ever make sense? I have been critical of Drury since day one when he got the job, and I said he was in over his head. All you can do is laugh at your nonsense.

You know hockey is coming around the corner when you are posting and calling out other posters, like you did to two of us in this thread alone.
