There have been 30 flagrant fouls committed in the WNBA this season. 5 have been committed against Caitlin Clark. 4 of those 5 have been committed by the Chicago Sky. That's pretty crazy. Context of the 5 fouls is provided here. Caitlin Clark flagrant fouls: Yes, Fever rookie has had most in WNBA committed against her; no, they're not that bad | Sporting News
She must have played a decent game but I saw the last rebound on the Tweeter. Padded stat on that one. I get it though. Let her get her Triple.
As it happens, yes, and she committed one of the 4--although to be fair, Reese's was probably the least egregious flagrant committed against Clark.
Bro stop. You remember what was going on the night Dame was a rebound away from a triple double down the stretch in a blowout game? It was embarrassing. I understood it though.
They need to be traded to the same team. The first women's superteam. Problem with that is nothing brings out ratings like a rivalry.
I would say that the Aces team with 3 consecutive #1 picks became a superteam (though not so super this season). That said, I think Clark is pretty satisfied with Boston and Mitchell (and the underrated Lexie Hull) as teammates.
Barring seismic shift, Paige Bueckers should be next year's #1 pick. She was formerly ranked #1 high school player. Having missed a year due to injury, she's a year behind rest of that class. Number 2 through 5 high school players that year: Angel Reese Caitlin Clark Cameron Brink Camilla Cardozo Already historic rookie class. Bueckers would have made it once in a lifetime and oh Lord rookie of the year arguments between Bueckers and Clark! In a way she's fortunate. Won't have to share spotlight.
Worth pointing out that Sabrina's 2.07/1 Asst to TO ratio is far better than Clark's 1.5/1. Making the pass that leads to the assist is underrated. Sabrina also scores more, at 19.4ppg to CC's 19.0. And Sabrina's starting teammates score more than CC's as well, perhaps a result of the assist turnover ratio disparity? Or maybe it's just that NY has been together longer. Either way, it seemed worth pointing out...
Also worth pointing out that CC has not only broken the WNBA single-season turnover record, but has done so by nearly a 50% margin (currently at 195 which is 58 more than the next most ever), and still has 4 more games to add to that record. The only NBA players who have ever turned the ball over at/near CC's rate are Harden and Westbrook in 2017, when they both basically averaged 31/11 with usage rates that absolutely dwarfed Clark's. It is safe to say that when it comes to turnovers, she is putting up a season unmatched in basketball history.
I think it’s mostly people who look like Angel Reese. She was phenomenal this year, but CC is the pretty obvious choice for ROY
