another F'ing guard Cronin pull your head out of your ass for one minute and realize that guards and centers we have plenty of those but the team could use a forward -- but naw -- fuck it -- let's sign yet ANOTHER guard.
Actually we have plenty of everything...with Grant, Deni, Jabari, Murray and Reath and Williams we have plenty of bigs who can slide into the PF position. We didn't need a forward either. We have more stretch fours than we have centers. Even Banton can play PF
He can dunk. I'll go with a slightly bigger Keon Johnson comp. His 1 game of extended minutes history was the final game of last season. A 40 thrashing by the Sacramento Kings. That game was uglier then the 60 point losses in my opinion. Every Blazer except 7 players had quit the season. The minimum healthy bodies seemed poorly coached and completely lost. Portland hopelessly fired bricks and airballs from distance 7-45 (15%). It was clear everyone on the team wanted the bad season to be over. Banton missed 15 straight 3 pointers, and took out his frustration on a rando King's bench scrub. The refs ejected Dalano for cross checking. At some point in the game, Taze decided not to shoot a hopeless long jump shot. He drove into the lane for a vicious "elevator going up" slam dunk. The entire bench of tanking Blazers bounced & celebrated, even though the skeleton crew of Cronin's kids were getting annihilated in Sacramento. Keep Portland Weird is the best explanation I can offer. Taze dunks are more fun & entertaining then winning NBA basketball games.
