You would think that russia had very strong air defense here; appears that Ukraine overwhelmed it with the sheer number of drones attacking. I love how the russians always claim they shot all drones down but the debris from one caused a small fire. No need to worry.
Here is more good news. I'm not reporting bad news, although we do know that russia has been making small advances in the east and launched a successful counterattack in the Kursk area (although some reports indicate this may result in the encirclement of a large russian force. (for some reason I can't copy a twitter post unless it has a video attached.) david D. @secretsqrl123 some of what we do know today.. 1 one of the largest and newest ammo dumps in russia was blown up. this has resulted in YEARS of ammo production being "removed" from russian service. yes years. 2 a recon company from the 154th russian regiment was hit with a himars rocket. 3 a training ground was hit with at least 55 russian KIA. 4 a platoon from the 47th tank div gave up to a few ukr troops from the azov brigade 5 the cement plant in vorchansk known to be held by the russian 83rd brigade and 2 spetz has fallen. russians are shelling it now. 6 russians are saying that in kursk the 51st paratroopers are taking heavy losses and are stalled. 7 the 21st and 95th brigades are pushing into the rear of the 155th marines.. they (russians) are being engaged with leo2A6s and other western gear. not going well for russia. 8 russians on social media are saying that units near bakhmut have no more troops and are using everything they have (mechanics, cooks, artillery men, etc) just to hold the line. 9 the mirage 2000s from france are coming, they are coming with air to ground capability and no restrictions. the first ones are less than 3 months out. 10 the first german IFVs made in ukraine are less than 3 months out. 11 europe just "found" another 500,000 155 rounds.... 12 ukraine is expected to hit 3 million drones this year 13 russians with the 1442 rgt are refusing to fight as infantry 14 russia state media is saying school children will be used to harvest food and fix rail ways due to the lack of people. 15 russian state media is reporting that now Defendents in crimes will be sent to the SMO till the court case comes up. so now being accused of something will send you to the SMO, not convicted.. 16 many kids (conscripts) have given up in kursk in the last 48 hrs to ukraine forces.. 17 reports from russian troops on SM state that troops going to the front in the central region of ukraine are only given 3 days of supplies.. its stated that is all they will need.
Hoping Ukraine surrenders soon. The sooner this is over, the safer the rest of the world will be. Most people are like cattle, grazing in the field, going about their business, not knowing they're going to the slaughter the following day. We were a second a way from a nuclear holocaust last Saturday. If US leadership had not refused Blinken's insane plan to attack Russia with precision missiles, the world as you know it now would be over. We aren't too close to any particular nuclear targets, so we'd probably be facing a slow painful death from the radiation and starvation. And if you don't think the threat is serious, then why did we pull back?
You are in la-la land. Banking on the idea that the Russians are bluffing, oh, their missiles aren't going to work. Stop and listen to yourself. This isn't a game. Oregon is actually one of the "safest" places in the US according to many projections. But that only means our death will be more prolonged. We need leaders that will pull us back from this ASAP.
Russia has nuclear submarines off our coast that could pop up and launch a barrage of missiles and we have a 0% chance of intercepting them all. It's like picking a fight with someone who has a gun right at your head that you have no possibility to deflect. You can't win the fight, because even if you do, they'll just pull the trigger. The only winning move is not to play. Listen to Matthew Broderick on this one.
Yeah, the country that hasn't even been able to invade Ukraine has a "gun" pointed right at our head. The country that spend almost a billion dollars a year on their military, vs Russia. Who, like I said, has been embarrassed by Ukraine. Sure, they might have a gun to our head, but it's a nerf gun.
Always Surrender! The threat we made was serious, it got Russia's attention as was intended. You confuse messaging with plans. Repeatedly. barfo
Fifty years ago, I was a missile launch officer in the Minuteman III program based out of Cheyenne, Wyoming. At that time, practically in the dark ages of electronic miniaturization and navigation, our warheads had a circular error probable (the area in which at least 50% of the warheads were expected to fall) of roughly one city block. This accuracy allowed our warheads to be much smaller than the Soviets’ because they couldn’t hit the broad side of a barn. We knew without doubt that our technology in that day would work because we tested it. Every so often, a missile was selected at random, pulled out of its silo, carted to Vandenburg AFB, had the warheads removed, and was then test fired by the launch crew who had been on duty that day. I never heard of a failure in the test program. I can guarantee you that our accuracy is much, much greater today. Russia’s nuclear arsenal is not to be dismissed lightly, but he knows there are land, sea and air based systems from multiple countries that would end his existence if he were foolish enough to actually attack NATO.
You should understand the concept of mutual assured destruction. We would blow Russia off the map, but they'd take us as well. No one that understands anything about nuclear war believes any one side could intercept enough to make a difference. The psychology of downplaying this threat in order to be able to continue to support your tribe's insane stance is amazing.
They will (if nuclear war doesn't break out). Mark my words. Then we'll all see who's been right this whole time.
