He played 1 season for the Trail Blazers. Calling him a "Blazers legend" seems a bit disrespectful and mocking him IMO.
I worked for Kohler Company back in the day and spent lots of time in Kohler Village, he was a legend there thats for sure.
On the contrary, fans have been calling former players "former blazers legend" on Twitter for a while now. It's not done to show disrespect or to mock him or anyone else. Once a Blazer, always a Blazer (cept for Ruben Patterson, Raymond Felton, Stevie Francis, Festis Ezeli and Trenton Hassell).
He was legendary. I still have his Franz trading card to this day. I loved when one of the teams he was on would play wolves howling when he’d enter the game. He was on legendary status in the same ilk as like James ‘Hollywood’ Robinson and Tracy Murray.
It's disrespectful to true legends. It lessens the fame of those who deserve it. But I'll tell my P.R. Dept. to let it go this one time.
