Yes. Had they called it incomplete than it would of been a different story

100%. Either call should have stood in my opinion.

I remember when Cristobal left and many Ducks fans really wanted Dave Aranda.

    Glad they dodged that bullet.

it's a good thing that certain groups of Duck fans aren't the ones hiring head coaches

if they were, the Ducks could have had Aranda, or PJ Fleck, or Josh Wilcox

by the way, I've been told that Aranda was never considered a viable candidate by the Oregon AD. The one coach that could have been a really interesting hire was Lane Kiffin and supposedly, he was really interested in the job. However, apparently, Phil Knight was the opposite of a Kiffin fan. The reason(s) for that I don't know

I generally don't pretend to know whats what with potential coaching hires and just hope that those in charge do. On occasion I'll weigh in on an individual who I don't want my rooting interest to hire based on what I know but thats about it. Lanning would be a perfect example as to why I just cross my fingers and let the process play out.

I didn't watch the game but I watched the replays several times; replays from various angles

I just couldn't tell. I never saw the ball come close to the ground, but I could not tell if it was touched by somebody already out of bounds when it was bouncing around on top of players. I don't think the officials in the end zone knew what happened either; one of them just decided it had to be a TD

I tend to agree with this. And once the TD was called on the field, there needed to be indisputable evidence a catch was not made. I did not feel this was the case, even though I don't believe a catch was made.

What's interesting, is that it rarely seems to matter who Oregon hires, that coach will significantly overperform in Eugene. Had they hired Aranda, they'd probably be winning 9-11 game a year. Wilcox, 8-10 games a year.

The athletic department, booster system, and program is built to elevate coaches. No coach has left Oregon in the last 30 years and found more success elsewhere.

IMO, the replay booth wouldn't have never concluded it was incomplete pass without it being obvious, because it was called a TD. What I saw was no control of ball when he ho the ground.

You’d think so. Especially with Miami’s very shaky win

The video evidence we saw was not absolutely conclusive on whether a catch was made or not largely because our views in the crucial moment of the player bringing the ball to the ground were obscured and whether the ball coming loose was because of ground impact or Miami players digging it out after he lands. My personal opinion is that it probably was a catch as the player who came down with secured it to his body with both hands when we lose site of the ball just prior to him landing. I did not see it immediately squirt out. There was a pause before the the Miami players start ripping at it. Of course officials each have their own personal view of the play and on the field they called it a catch which is my best evidence it was. Unless officials have different camera angles or something, it seems wrong they overturned their call

Staying away. I actually have stayed away all year with the Ducks. I’ll take them vs Ohio st. I’m assuming it will be an Oregon -3 or pick em
