Interesting debate. These two have been pretty gracious to one another and have talked policy. From what I've seen, Vance has been smoother, but he also has a tough job in trying to protect Trump. Pretty even debate but a worthwhile listen for the American public.
What did Trump do to save the ACA? He kept telling us he'd repeal and replace it and we'd see his plan in two weeks. We still don't have it. This is what I mean about Vance having a tough job trying to be Trump's shield. Trump's policies were so all over the place and even now you don't know how his whims will influence what he does in office.
I appreciate the respect they are both showing each other. Something we don’t see when Trump is up there. He’s his own worst enemy.
Trying to spin the story that Trump had nothing to do with happened on Jan. 6 is such a loser for his campaign. Vance needed a better approach to that answer than "Trump just told them to peacefully protest." That was far from intellectually honest.
He uses a lot of words to say little and lie alot. Not to mention to hide from actually answering questions. Kamala Kamala Kamala like she can just snap her finger and make things happen.
Vance might have had the advantage early because a lot of the subject matter put the Harris campaign more in a defensive posture. That reversed in the second half of the debate. Again, though, this was nice to listen to compared to most political dialog in this day and age. Both Walz and Vance agreed on a lot of things. That in itself might make some people's heads explode. I thought we went back to the 60s and 70s.
