by the way, this weekend, and actually the season, IMO, are demonstrating a secondary impact of NIL and the transfer portal it is still the case that the top teams land the top talent. That was true before NIL and it's true after NIL. But what the top teams can't do anymore at any effective level is stockpile 2nd tier talent under their 1st tier talent. NIL slush funds are too limited to be paying starter money to backups. If a player is behind an elite talent at one school, and he has enough of a resume, he can get starter NIL money, and BE a starter at another school I think NIL & the transfer portal will help level the field between top teams and 2nd tier teams. And that wasn't happening under the old system. This is one of the reasons why I was in favor of NIL and the transfer portal. Personally, I think the portal should be open 24/7 in the off season the real threat to 2nd tier, 3rd tier, and G5 schools is the prospect of the Big-10 & SEC merging their power and dictating the direction and rules. Those two conferences, along with their ESPN/FOX/CBS media partners are going to dominate anyway, but there is the definite threat of them creating exclusionary situations
It’s gonna be really fun to see them get dismantled in the playoff. They have some serious 2014 FSU vibes. Maybe Oregon will get to play them.
Boise is up to 17th. That win is looking more and more solid. Jeanty has a legit shot at the Heisman.
Here is the college playoff prediction on ESPN updated today. You can see how far the Ducks are down on the list compared to other undefeated and one loss teams.
I want Ohio state to lose so bad cause it's dumb af they keep just putting them in the playoffs when they haven't even been tested yet.
Beavers have an easier path to the playoffs than the Ducks do. If the Beavers win out they will be in the playoffs. They only have one game left with a ranked opponent. Ducks have 3 games left against ranked opponents including next weekend against the #2 team in the country. Yes, the Ducks could lose 2 games and still make the playoffs and the Beavers can't lose any, the Ducks still have the tougher schedule. And if the Ducks end up not in the playoffs and the Beavers do, I'm going to blame you and your fucking trolling.
Oh shit here we go. Now he’ll go on and on with numbers and links telling you have you are wrong and he is right. Don’t say I didn’t warn you. #DerailIncoming
Beavers play Boise State for the final game of the season. Also WSU is listed in the current playoff rankings. So you're saying that the Cougars have a path to the playoffs but the Beavers don't when they have currently the same record? https://www.espn.com/espn/feature/s...e-football-allstate-playoff-bracket-predictor
If the Cougars win out. If the Beavers win out, which would mean beating both BSU and WSU, would have the same chances.
