    Pretty sad to not even have something such as an honorable mention for breakout player;

    Which player is most likely to have a breakout season in 2024-25?

    1. Jalen Williams, Oklahoma City – 13%
    T-2. Evan Mobley, Cleveland – 10%
    T-2. Ja Morant, Memphis – 10%
    T-2. Victor Wembanyama, San Antonio – 10%
    T-5. Paolo Banchero, Orlando – 7%
    T-5. Cade Cunningham, Detroit – 7%
    T-5. Brandon Miller, Charlotte – 7%
    » Also receiving votes: LaMelo Ball, Charlotte; Anthony Edwards, Minnesota; Dereck Lively II, Dallas; Tyrese Maxey, Philadelphia; Trey Murphy III, New Orleans; Keegan Murray, Sacramento; Andrew Nembhard, Indiana; Alperen Sengun, Houston; Cam Thomas, Brooklyn; Amen Thompson, Houston; Ausar Thompson, Detroit
    » Last year: Anthony Edwards – 23%
    We obviously don't have any above average starting veterans - so to also not have a single player in the top18 that might break out. Guys like Andrew Nembhard are ranked higher than anyone on our roster.

    Well we did get an honorable mention on another question!

    Got a mention in the Q2/Q3 part of rookie (none in ROY voting question though);

    Which rookie will be the best player in five years?

    1. Reed Sheppard, Houston – 43%
    2. Stephon Castle, San Antonio – 17%
    3. Zaccharie Risacher, Atlanta – 13%
    T-4. Bub Carrington, Washington – 7%

    T-1. Johnny Furphy (35), Indiana – 10%
    T-1. Dalton Knecht (17), L.A. Lakers – 10%
    T-1. Terrence Shannon Jr. (27), Minnesota – 10%
    T-1. Nikola Topic (12), Oklahoma City – 10%
    T-7. Matas Buzelis (11), Chicago – 7%

    I think other GM's percieve PTB's and our market, as insignificant and in need of big time overhaul with ownership.

    This is a bit sad for us to not be a mention as a team entering its 4th year of tanking;

    Which team has the most promising young core?

    1. Oklahoma City Thunder – 60%
    2. Orlando Magic – 20%
    3. Houston Rockets – 10%
    4. San Antonio Spurs – 7%
    5. Detroit Pistons – 3%
    » Last year: Oklahoma City Thunder – 73%

    The goal should be to make this list in the next two years, not hang onto vets like Grant/Ayton/Simons/Timelord/Thybulle.

    There are NO expectations for Bronny. I’ve said before he will make the regular season roster. They will make sure he gets some time on the court with his dad and then he will be sent down to the G-League for the 2 years of his guaranteed contract….then off to Europe. Not even a blip on the radar. Not sure if it was this thread or another, but my opinion is the roster spot he is “taking”, would not go to a player that would have ANY impact on the Lakers success or failure this season.
    As a dad, this is a pretty cool moment. He’ll be long forgotten soon enough.

    Honestly, anybody getting worked up over him being in the league, probably got upset about Dame’s cousin, whatever his name was taking a roster spot.

    Well, when you run ISO offense through average to below average starters that doesn't leave a lot of room for development.

    Houston is a good model for what we’re doing. Let’s see where we’re ranked next fall.
