    @theprunetang How would you compare Hurricane downpour to the craziest Oregon rain?

    I know when it rains in FLA it can really be a downpour. Is there no comparison to a hurricane downpour in FLA?

    Definitely a different beast. The rains associated with severe thunderstorms and/or tropical systems are dramatic; massive drops falling on command in sheets. However, these deluges usually don't last long. Oregon rains tend to last longer but aren't as dynamic. I am not sure I have experienced 3 or more days of straight rain in Florida like I have so many times in Oregon.

    I used to a lot when I lived down there. Going out for a bikeride? Might wanna check the next couple hours. I've been caught in a afternoon shower way too many times. Also back when I was coaching baseball, it helped a ton when deciding when to tarp and untarp the field.
