Technically speaking we don't have anyone one the team that plays winning basketball. After 4 years of tanking.

Exactly. And that's not going to change unless we draft players who do.

They all tried to do what would be the equivalent of keeping Ant and Grant (And maybe even Ayton). Giving up multiple picks for Deni was probably jumping the gun as well... I like his game... I just think it might be the wrong time to have him here.

Trying to get good too quickly is how you fail, unfortunately. However, drafting a superstar would definitely speed things up.

3 years ago, we were in the playoffs.

4 seasons ago. Yes 3 years. This will be the 4th year tanking.
    Let’s not get it twisted.

I can honestly say I don't believe any of the current roster or coaching staff served their country.

That would be pretty consistent with professional athletes. Kind of tough to do a 4 year stint and stay in the kind of physical/mental shape to play at that level. Obviously it's been done in the past but I would venture a guess that is less and less likely now.

Nor do any of them have the training to provide medical services for animals. So disappointing.

Has Deni done his stint with the IDF yet?

The dude went 55th in one of the weakest drafts we've seen in a long time and he went to the team his dad (who is at least one of the handful of greatest to ever play the game) is currently on. We sold an earlier pick for cash considerations. So why don't we just stop harping on someone not being good enough to be in the NBA just like his draft position, coupled with his family connections would imply.

The kid played 6 minutes, he is a 55th pick and he had cardiac arrest a bit more than a year ago. I think we can give that kid time - he either pans out or he is a g-league level player, but for his first year, who cares? honestly?

Personally, I would be happy if he makes it as a rotation player in the NBA when all is said and done, given his medical history, that would be a lovely story.

    Good question. Looked it up.
Yes. He had a deferment “After winning back-to-back Under-20 European Championships with the Israel National Team, many of Avdija’s teammates were drafted into the IDF, but his service was delayed due to his commitment with Maccabi Tel Aviv and playing in the Euroleague.” COVID interrupted his season. He enlisted and served it under an “exceptional athlete” status in North America.

What’s the over/under on how many games it takes before LeBron gets the word out on his unhappiness with management? I’m at 20.5.

So he may be the only Veteran in the league, not just the Blazers. Good stuff.

Dude saying he was early on the Lebron train by buying his rookie jersey?! lol. He was on the cover of S.I. as a Junior in HS. If he was in to him his rookie year, he was the last one aboard the damn train.

(This has nothing to do with your point at all, just laughing at him thinking he was early on)
