yeah if they can get someone physical who can move the puck I guess you replace him. He is 5'10 but he is good at moving the puck out of the zone
Nice d Mika. This dude is just stealing money from the rangers at this point. Completely useless sack of shit.
Well deserved loss. Zman should have his ass kicked in the locker room for that non competitive play. He is just stealing money and with trouba the 2 worst contracts in hockey. He’s not even competing anymore
The Ranger offense is going to be very good. Obviously weren’t sharp in their own end tonight and need to clean that up. Igor a little off as well but it’s the second game of the season. Utah is playing with some energy so far and deserved the extra point.
seriously, his effort is so pathetic. At least if he tried. He does not even try. Just floats around the ice like a useless pathetic shit.
Yet our thickhead coach keeps reward Mika with first PP time and fucks Lafreniere over. One cup in 85+ years.
Lucky to get a point out of that one with so many players starting the game flat. Lav plays Rempe 3:40 because of the disllowed goal? Whatever Rempe is going to be he gets the crowd up on their feet. Garden ice seemed shitty for opening day.
That's because Dolan has priced out real fans. It's basically just a bunch of yuppie or social media clowns mostly who get their girl a Rangers jersey who spends all game taking pictures of herself.
The same can be said about the majority of sporting events/concerts/live events...the average fan is priced out. Even for kids shows its really expensive. But there are enough people/companies/entities that don't find it cost prohibitive to perpetuate it. If you think the price of Rangers tickets are expensive just know they will never be cheaper than they are right now.
It is irrelevant whether or not Lafreniere plays on PP1 or PP2. Last I checked he has been playing great since early last season, and the Rangers PP is pretty good overall. What is relevant is the Rangers are lazy and soft, and I see zero reason that would change with the stale core still in place. Let's be clear, playing lazy wide open and loose in game 2 of the regular season doesn't mean sh*t big picture, just like dominating the terrible Pens in game 1 of the regular season doesn't mean sh*t big picture. The issue is this is now who the team is. They have way too many lapses and play way too soft to be a legit SC team. I'll tell you what else is an issue, Zibanejad's play. That guy has lost it big time. I happen to think this is co-issue # 1 on the team (along with their soft play and D zone lapses). Let's be fair, he plays in all situations and has a very important role on the team, but he is paid to a # 1 C who has a big impact on the game, and scores goals and points, and yes that includes at even strength. His play in OT last night was pretty shameful. He made a bad play giving the puck away at Utah's blueline, he then simply refused to cover his man as he skated in on Igor with 5 miles of open ice. No clue what he was doing, but what I do know is he has become lazy and useless offensively at even strength, he refuses to shoot the puck at even strength, and we cannot succeed at the top level if he plays that way, he is essentially now a PP specialist when it comes to offense. Will never ever happen, but Lav should scratch him for a few games, like he sat Igor for a few games last season, and maybe that will wake him up, because if this is Mika now, we have no shot (not that I think we have any real shot anyway - but having a top Mika would surely help the cause). They will win their share of regular season games, and make the playoffs, but they have very little chance of winning a Cup, and that's unfortunate.
You're are so fucking stupid 94 I really can't believe it at this point. "It is irrelevant whether or not Lafreniere plays on PP1 or PP2" Lifetime block for you. Please leave our fan base and join the Devils. It's the right speed for your brain which is very small.
Exactly the response I was expecting. You are right, it is super important that Lafreniere plays on PP1 for the 3 or 4 PP's we get a game, if he did everything else would magically be solved. No one else on this board calls out your nonsense because they don't have the time or desire to deal with a child, but I find it interesting no one else is nonstop pounding if only Lafreniere played on PP1, things would be awesome. Put him on PP1, leave him on PP2, point is either way it is not solving/addressing the real issues this team has. I would put him on PP1, but who cares, it is issue # 500 for this team. Playing Lafreniere on PP1 or PP2 is irrelevant to moving the needle for the team to win a Cup. Not being soft, playing better in their own zone, valuing the puck, shooting more, Mika not being a bi*ch, scoring at even strength are way more important to actually winning a Cup than what PP unit Lafreniere plays on. Please do us both a favor and lifetime block me, I am sure it will make everyone in here happier. Thank you in advance.
Laf needs to play with more defensive responsibility too, 2 Utah goals were his guy going to the net while he stood idly. Lav is clueless about distributing time on ice for his players especially this early in the season. I'm hoping Mika is out of shape but that still doesn't explain not shooting the puck anymore.
Exactly, the Rangers scoring is not going to be the issue. They have several people who can put the puck in the net. They have scored eleven goals in their first two games. It has only been two games so I certainly don’t expect a shutout every night nor do I expect them to give up six goals every night. Having said that we don’t want to see a trend where they’re losing 6-5 and 5-4 games. They definitely need to tighten things up in their own end. They have one of the best in the league in net. Help the guy out. As for Rempe the guy friggin stinks. Let’s just be honest. He’s clumsy, doesn’t skate well and is a magnet for bad penalties. Eventually, you have to do more than get the crowd excited to be in the lineup.
