Toumani couldn't hit the left side of a barn in Golden State. 6 points on 14 shots. But he snagged 13 rebounds and outplayed Klay Thompson on less then 3% of Klay's salary.
If Toumani were a decent offensive player, I'd get the excitement. But no team is pencil in a guy as a long term starter at the 3 that has a 48% TS percentage, that's really really bad. You look at great defensive players that were not good at offense, like Andre Kirilenko, he had a career TS% of 57, or Bowen, he could hit around 40% of his 3s. Also keep in mind that Toumani is already 23, and he's looking good on defense, but not even great or all nba level.
This kid is the glue. Every team needs one and i believe found our long term answer in Camara. His play is the style i love in the nba. He is our dog! Get Some!
