Chris, Phats, Bones and myself were brought into the Blazer mothership and shown a bunch of slogans for the upcoming season and asked which one we liked best. We had to sign a confidentiality agreement not to say anything. I'm pretty sure we still can't disclose the slogans that weren't selected but the Rip City Runs Deep was one of them we were asked if we liked.
I wouldn’t mind if they mixed it up with the rip city thing in general. it’s a fun name and we love the shonz but the mark has gone from a secondary mark to something they use on almost everything. I wonder if it’s because they don’t think there are enough other legacy franchise elements worth marketing. back in the day rip city was one of a bunch of different ways the franchise talked about itself.
