What's funny is that Ohio State could have very easily called time out and stopped that clock at 10 seconds. They never used that time out. That was gamesmanship and coaching. Like taking a knee and letting the time run out. Same thing.
I guess we'll see in a couple weeks. As an aside, the ACC could legitimately have 3 teams go undefeated in conference. Miami, Clemson, and SMU all get to avoid one another. That could be interesting if it shakes out that way.
(I guess the same thing could happen in the Big10 with Oregon, Penn St, and Indiana, but it seems highly unlikely that all 3 schools beast Ohio St.)
I wonder what the tie-breaker is in that case. All three unbeaten means one is left out of the championship game
Looks like it would go to "combined win percentage of conference opponents" https://accfootballrx.blogspot.com/2024/08/2024-tie-breakers-acc-vs-sec.html?m=1
https://www.oregonlive.com/ducks/2024/10/how-former-oregon-ducks-fared-in-week-8.html kinda fun to look at how the traitors fared.
They're not traitors. They went to different teams with the hope of getting more playing time. By leaving they opened up slots for us to fill with new players.
