I will add, it sucks to be handed things upon entry. No room in the seats to keep things. Hand them out at the end!!!
When I got the Dame glass I went to the game and the Blazers handed it out to every fan exiting the arena. Think it was around 2013 or something. They were selling on ebay for $50-100 each so I offered a bunch of other fans $5-20 each or something and ended up with a half dozen glasses. But was to lazy to list selling any so I've just had them sitting around here every since, hoping that Dame legacy would turn them into some higher value collectible. Right now I'd have to imagine is probably about their lowest point of worth.
I've seen people start to go out the door, get their Jamba Juice free drink coupon and then jump out of line and do it again. Glasses at the end would be a shit show.
yes but when i kick mine over and it falls and breaks in the handicapped section, that too would be a shit show. really its not getting first option as a season ticket holder that urks me. Did you know random fans can choose to upgrade their tix last minute but its unavailable for season ticket holders? So when 100 level tix are available, som casual fan has the ability to upgrade his tix to move to 100 but i do not?
Does anyone have a list of all the glasses that have been made? I remember the early 90s Dairy Queen ones a friend had and think it was the starters plus robert pack or something. Can't remember if that was only one year or a number of years. Then there was the 5 glasses of LMA/Rolo/Nic/Wes/Dame. Would be cool to have a collection of every glass.
It seemed pretty orderly and I think the Blazers employees were very strict about it being a one way line so that wasn't really a big issue.
I can squat and deliver if you wish. Yours to keep. I got excited when your thread promised Blazer glasses. I was thinking more like this: You could use those and imagine you were looking through the Blazer Dancers’ clothes. So you can understand my jaded response.
I assumed that blazers glasses were more along the lines of beer goggles - they make the team look much better than it really is. barfo
Again. Fucking tone deaf organization. I laugh at them. Can only get them at games? Fuck right off. DQ or we don't give a fuck.
There was a guy who would almost always be at the exit door I used most often while I had season tickets, and for some reason liked to give me large piles of chalupa coupons. IIRC the highest number he gave me was in the low forties. I don't think he ever gave me fewer than a dozen...
Again just want to point out... For years it was believed that small market teams can't turn a profit. That the Blazers only can lose money. Our previous and current team presidents have changed this. The Blazers are not a money pit This is what a financially stable small market franchise looks like. No more $5 t-shirts and fewer giveaways. At the same time the Moda is being maintained and improved. And the Blazers are addressing one of the fans biggest complaints, being able to watch the team on TV. Would I like some of these glasses? Sure. Upset that I can't? Nah.
