I totally get your frustration and will try and help. Are you getting any stations with the antenna? If you aren't you might not have selected the input to antenna yet.

What kind of make and model of TV do you have? There is probably a youtube video that will show you have to get over the air broadcasts for your specific TV.

Also, you don't happen to have Xfinity do you? That's channel 1170.

I love being able to watch the end of the game on my phone if I have to leave the arena early. I don't have to wait to get home to watch the replay.

I'm also an older guy - fan since the Drexler era and an S2 member since what's his name was Hispanic Causing Panic. And I'm confused about my options here. I have directTv. So I need to either buy an $18 antenna or hope DirecTV picks it up at some point (that's what they kept saying about Comcast!)? If I do buy the antenna thing, can I record games to my DVR? That's important to me, I can rarely watch them live and even if I do I want to skip through commercials and stuff.

I get about two or three hundred channels I didn’t count or notice. Samsung. It’s like three years old I’ll go check the model not sure. I packed up the antenna anyway.

No you won't be able to record with just an antenna. You'll need something like the Tablo 4th Gen 2-Tuner Over-The-Air (OTA) DVR - https://a.co/d/6467opr

Do you have any grandkids? Can't tell you how many times I have fixed my tv for my grandpa.

I’m watching now using the free antenna that the blazers were giving away. 2.2 coming in clear for me, though I do live about 12 miles south of the broadcast signal. I am also one of them over the hill dudes that back in the day got my tv over the air. Just had to press that memory button and got it all setup super fast and easy. Also these new antennas are awesome, they even work with the TV guide. That shit didn’t exist back in the day, had to use the newspaper for it.

I’m watching via the NBA app and BlazerVision. So far every game has been in 30fps (every other league pass game is 60fps), there are semi regular short audio drops, and we don’t get the in-arena feed. (the last is probably as intended I guess)

I reached out to support but that hasn’t been productive. You know how that is these days.

If you have an antenna & can’t figure out how to use it, that’s on you. It’s very simple. People will always complain & pass the blame.

I have Fubo which is my choice. The game tonight isn’t on Fubo again which is frustrating. So if the Blazer games are a priority to me I have to look at other options. Antenna or BlazerVision which are very reasonable & good alternatives.

I gave up on Fubo and canceled before my trial period ended and they started charging me an exorbitant $112/mo because of the plan required and taxes. Seriously?
This is the 2nd year in a row that the Blazers have said the games would be available in whatever manner and many of those options didn't work.

The antenna instructions are very simple. Doesn’t mean it works for everyone. I think what is most frustrating is the roll-out and all the “wow this is great news” and it seems like a lot of it isn’t even accurate. It simply shouldn’t be this hard.

It’s simply not very hard. Several options. All easy to navigate if you are moderately in tune with today’s technology and/or willing to take the time to learn & figure it out. If not, that’s your choice.

Considering the team performance recently, I certainly don’t blame anyone for not wanting to go thru the process of figuring it all out.

I bought an antenna. Plugged it into the TV, fiddled with it for a couple minutes. Couldn’t get the game and said fuck it. Got the stream on methstreams.

Didn’t feel like the hassle after a long day at work.

To make an over-the-air TV antenna work on a smart TV, simply connect the antenna cable to the "Antenna" input on your TV, then navigate to your TV's settings menu, select "Channel Setup" or "Live TV," and choose the "Antenna" option to scan for available channels; the TV will automatically detect and list the local channels it can pick up from the antenna signal.

    Key steps:
    • Connect the antenna: Plug the antenna cable into the designated "Antenna" input on your TV.

    • Access TV settings: Use your remote to navigate to the TV settings menu.

    • Select antenna mode: Find the "Channel Setup" or "Live TV" option and choose "Antenna" as the signal source.

    • Scan for channels: Initiate a channel scan to automatically find and list available local channels from the antenna.
    Important considerations:
    • Antenna placement:
For optimal reception, position your antenna in a high location with a clear line of sight to broadcast towers.

    • Signal strength:
If you experience poor reception, try adjusting the antenna's direction or consider using a signal amplifier.

    • Rescanning channels:
If you move or significantly change your antenna setup, you may need to rescan for channels to update the channel list.

The KATU Antenna is on the West Hills closest to Eastside and Downtown Portland compared to the other antennas. Point your antenna in that direction wherever you are in the Portland Metro area.

It's available via antenna. 81 games. That's incredible news.

I'm sorry you're struggling, but this is vastly superior than any time in Blazers history. In January it'll be much much better.

I watched every game for years by flipping on Root. Sure, that wasn’t better for everyone (I guess). But this isn’t not better than that.
