OK, the kid's pretty good. MAN he looked bad earlier, but he's calmed down and now he's a real force for good on the court. Now we need his mid range shot to come back, but his actual point-guard-ing is very solid!
Likewise, I had mentioned earlier that my hope for him had been almost totally extinguished. A little seasoned crow is better than eat long-term ant pie.
there will be ups there will be downs can't get caught up in game to game performance. as long as there's a general upward trajectory and development in key aspects of his game (turnovers, shooting, control, etc), i'm good.
I’ve been thinking the same. He’s playing more to his strengths now and looks more comfortable. I don’t cringe like I used to when he enters the game and actually get excited to watch him. He’s definitely a tough cover when he drives and attacks the rim.
Tried to tell y’all. Can’t teach it I guess. to those who still refuse greatness, enjoy the taste of your wifes bfs nuts for the next year
Been pleasantly surprised by the development of all the rookies from last year: Scoot, Kris, and Rupert have all clearly gotten better. EDIT: Forgot Toumani. Toumani was already good though.
The coaches are making him more humble. Before, he thought he could dominate by prancing around like a kid. Now his box score line is more frugal. He chooses his actions economically instead of wasting motion. They got him to think on the floor. He has accepted a smaller role. Just shows what reading my posts can do for the coaches and players.
Camara is still very clearly trending up too. Portland has a lot of pretty good young forwards. If they could collectively improve their 3 ball a couple percentages this team could be 500 easily STOMP
For those who have watch more than just the second half of this game this season, has Scoot looked this decent on his catch and shoot 3s? This is going to be the biggest area of improvement I’m hoping for this season. Scoot eventually becoming a close-out-worthy catch at shoot 3 is going to make Shae that much more dangerous on the court when he’s back. All I can say is I’m ready for the Scoot, Shae, Camara, Deni, Clingan lineup.
not enough sample. The most encouraging thing is just how his decision making has improved leaps and bounds
