Being such a good defender, he's often tasked with sticking the other team's offensive lead guy... tonight he was the primary guy on Harden. On ball D often takes the defender out of rebounding position.

With all his other attributes, if he ever features a consistent 3 ball he'll be very valuable. Deni is similar in this way. The future may be a little ways off, but it is bright

Look at what the 2nd youngest player (Clingan) is doing for the youngest player (Rupert). Rupert saw that and headed straight for the hoop.

Clingan is not looking toward the hoop to get a rebound for his stats. He's setting a block on his man so Rupert can dribble right by.

I am so proud of Little Scooter for reading my posts and learning what to do. You just keep taking my posts to heart, Little Scooter, and I may promote you to Scooter later this season.

Avidja, when you learn how to spell your own name you will be murder. Good little rebounder. You look 6-6 out there but you MUST be 6-9 as you claim. Plus, you made a three.

Clinger, first career three. Keep breathing hard and your lungs will grow up.

Ayton, don't listen to them. You have moves and good hands for 5-foot shots. They want you to play like a hulking stiff.

Powell, you were Olshey's best trade. You for Trent and Hood was a steal. A shooter/scorer, you should have been perfect for Stotts' system.

Ty Lue, you sure have gained weight since you played. Remember when you were handsome? Really? I don't.

Anfernee, you used to be a budding volume shooter. Under Billups you're just a budding shooter. His system makes you look small.

Grant, you tried. If you had muscle, you'd have moves near the basket instead of living in the corner.

Camara and Murray, someone over the summer taught you offensive skills. You act like different players from last year. More smooth and instinctive.

Ah wizenheimer my favorite excuse to call it a night. I see you’ve infected a new board. I actually left realgm when you became a commonality.

Will also add, I know nobody wants to win, and also to hate on Simons, but he scored and assisted on 12 of the last 14 points in our win.

No fence straddling here...This is the team they set out to build and it's going to be a good one.

This might be a better look at Clingan leveraging against his man far from the hoop.

He also clearly didn't learn that his shots will eventually be blocked if he keeps going to the hoop. And then he did it again.

What happened to his game-ending mid-range shot?

I want to say this once but I don't answer to lunacy, so it's not directed at any one Blazers fan. This better not be the fucking team that Joe has designed for future greatness because it doesn't make any fucking sense as a roster (a theme that has plagued every Joe Cronin built roster thus far).

No this better be something that the team is giving time to breathe before we trade at the very least Ant and Jerami at the deadline and Ayton too if Clingan is progressing and Rob Williams is ready to play half the minutes at C by then.

The one Caveat is Shaedon Sharpe. He is still on the roster. I would like to see the team with Sharpe in a major capacity before trading away what are decent role players.

I still don't trust Billups though. He didn't even have Sharpe in the starting lineup to begin last season. Who knows what role Billups will give Sharpe.

Agreed. 25 points on 24 shots is hardly something to be celebrating. Just to round out the group that I want traded because I think they are good players when seen as fifth starters or sixth men: Jerami scored 8 points on his 14 shots and Deandre (who is a fucking seven foot center) shot just over 50% but due to his lack of aggression only got 15 points on 15 shots.

We got lucky because the Clippers were worse than us tonight not because we are better than them. Also it might not be very smart to call it lucky when we need more talent through the draft.

I don't want to see Shaedon in a lineup where he has to try to grow while being overshadowed by the almost 33 shots per game that Ant and Jerami jack up no matter what. No, I'd like to see what Shaedon can do when featured in an offense with willing passers.

Also you're about to see what you want because even if Joe is going to do the smart thing, he'll likely wait until well after the new year and Shae is probably only a few games away from playing.

Cool, I knew it was a 5 point play but didn't realize he had 7 unanswered points.

That was the beauty of the end of the Sharpe's rookie season.

Sharpe will be the leader of this group when we're contending. He just needs to stop getting injured

Didn't you say a bunch of similar comments before summer league about how the Blazers roster would likely have big trades soon and then here we are 4 months later with the same group?

At this point we should all expect Joe to stand pat, try to win the first few months, then switch to a hard tank with fake injuries and g league scrubs. It's what the team has done every year since he became GM.

At least nobody should be surprised, especially with the supposed talent in the 2025 draft.
