But SportsCenter's Ultimate Playoff Super Bowl, as viewed by analysts Mark Schlereth, Mike Golic and Sean Salisbury.SportsCenter ranked all 32 NFL teams in key categories -- QBs, RBs, pass catchers, rushing defense and passing defense. The unit rankings were used to determine overall rankings, which were then used in a simulated playoffs. Pretty cool post, I like how they set it up. To bad the Panthers won't beat any AFC team in the superbowl. That would be a good game though, but we really know who'd come on top. [IMG]

You guys lost Simon last year and Keith Adams at LB, Javon Kearse has never put up an impressive season with you guys (not what you were expecting)So overall, you're a below average team when you look at the whole picture.

Id rank them a spot or two higher there. Pass Defense should be top 10 for the Eagles, but the Run Defense should be bottom 5, because the only player on your roster who is decent at stopping the run is Trotter.

Jeff Garcia is a huge improvement over Mike McMahon. There is no luck when you have one of the top 5 qb's in the league along with a proven Veteran starter. Westbrook has the strength to run up the middle. The eagles just havent done it because they pass like 70% of the time. Expect that to change this year. The wideouts are sophomore and promising Reggie Brown, Pinkston who when healthy led the league in deep balls, Jabbar Gaffney whose going to have a pro-bowl qb throwing to him instead of a talented QB who doesnt have enough time to throw it to anybody. Greg Lewis and Jason Avant are also good wr's. The eagles depth at WR is the best its ever been. O yes its average when you Brian Dawkins, Michael Lewis, Sheldon Brown, and Lito Sheppard. All of them were pro-bowlers were 2 years ago except for Brown who was snubbed. There's going to be a lot more pressure with the additions of Bunkley and Howard. Kearse will probably have a better season because of these additions. It'll make life easier for him. Plus you have Trotter the pro-bowler staring you down in the middle. The line has had its great and bad additions and subtractions but it's now pretty solid with the addition of howard, Bunkley, Kearse, and 2nd year player Patterson. The Eagles are not below average buddy. Theyre under the radar and theyre starting to begin a new reign.

There is no luck when you have one of the top 5 qb's in the league along with a proven Veteran starter.
I wouldn't call Garcia a huge improvement over McMahon, but I will say he will go on the field with more poise than McMahon did because of his experience and his good past.
Westbrook has the strength to run up the middle. The eagles just havent done it because they pass like 70% of the time. Expect that to change this year.
No man, he really does NOT have the strength to run up the middle. You either pass to him or give him an outside handoff. Andy Reid is the reason you guys threw the ball 70% of the time last year, why should anyone expect your team to change around from that when you just LOST Brad Childress? It's only going to get worse, probably a bigger difference in the pass to run ratio then it was last year.
The wideouts are sophomore and promising Reggie Brown, Pinkston who when healthy led the league in deep balls, Jabbar Gaffney whose going to have a pro-bowl qb throwing to him instead of a talented QB who doesnt have enough time to throw it to anybody. All you have is a bunch of average/below average players that don't have any hands. The only one who is going to produce for you is Reggie, I will give you that, but the others have already shown that they cannot get it done with this team. Avant I'm not so sure about, but Gaffney I'm sure will play no better than he did in Houston (not good).
O yes its average when you Brian Dawkins, Michael Lewis, Sheldon Brown, and Lito Sheppard. Things have changed. Though I am more impressed by your D then I am your O, you aren't as good as you think you are. Dawkins is only getting older, and the other 3 are above average. They are ranked pretty fairly at #15 man.
The Eagles are not below average buddy. Hmmm unexperienced Rookie QB over proven Veteran Starter is a HUGE IMPROVEMENT. Reid has said he's going to change his philosophy. He's not going to pass more. You dont know who Passed or Ran a lot so you dont know if losing Childress will hurt. How is it funny that the depth is better. Before all we had was TO and Pinkston. No one else had big contributions. And before that it was Pinkston and Thrash. I'll take reggie, pinkston, avant, Gaffney, etc over those two because it gives us a lot more versatility. And yes I do believe they have hands. How else would they catch the balls? Pinkston has been with the team for a lot of years and he's contributed ALOT. Like i said he's a threat downfield. Also with Gaffney. He's a talented WR whose productivity should improve because of McNabb in the backfield. McNabb will make all the players around him better. Shutup with your stupid excuses of popularity. If they werent good then they wouldnt have been voted in. Name the people who were better that year. Dawkins still has it and he's still a great leader. The eagles will make noise this year.

Hahah last time I checked you guys haven't had a rookie QB take the field since McNabb was drafted... so what are you talking about? McMahon has been in the league for 6 years...Anyway, I already told you what I think is going to happen with your WRs and your Defense in my last post. This is all my speculation since it is the off-season and I truly believe what I said, your wideouts aren't great except Brown who did impress me last year, and your D is old news. The only noise you are going to hear next year with the Eagles is in their locker room about how they can't seem to win any games.

Avant I'm not so sure about, but Gaffney I'm sure will play no better than he did in Houston (not good). As much as I hate to say this because they are the Eagles, their receivers are better. If you look at the numbers they are better than (with the exception of course, of Moss) the Redskins. With Moss of course the Redskins are better in the receiver department. But if you took Moss away, the numbers say that Philly is better. These are the stats of the last 3 years:Lloyd - 1510 yardsRandle El - 1523 yardsTotal - 3033 yardsGaffney - 1526Pinkston - 1251Now, Pinkston didn't play last year and if you took his average of those two years his numbers would be1877Total - 2777. Had Pinkston played 3403So in essence, if Gaffney and Pinkston is average than we can make the case that Randle El and Lloyd are just as average or below average slightly.Again, the Redskins have a better receiving corp than the Eagles but the Eagles do have receivers who can put up numbers. I just don't want any excuses from Eagles fans that they don't have receivers if by chance they do not do well this year.

He got injured and didn't play, therefor you have no idea HOW he would have produced had he played this season. You can't just assume everything would go down similar to how it did in the past.

I think the vikes are underrated but that's just my bias speaking. I mean, I don't really see any holes in our roster other than maybe linebacker. The thing is what we have at linebacker is a quandary rather than a hole. We have a good rookie and a veteran who knows the system. Plug in one more starter who gets the job in TC and we should be fine at that position. It's just these freakin idiots at the four letter network hate the vikings and always have. I know that sounds stupid but every time Sean Salisbury opens his mouth it's vikings suck, brett favre will beat them this time... The guy played for the vikings for gods sake. At least show us a little love.

Trust me, us Redskins fans know what its like to be hated on by ESPN, and ESPECIALLY by Sean Salisbury. Last year he said if we made it to the playoffs, he would walk naked from Bristol to Washington D.C.Well, we made them. [IMG]
