Game Thread 2024-25 GAME #11- BLAZERS VS GRIZZLIES - NOVEMBER 10, 2024 - SUNDAY - 6 PM - KATU 2.2, BLAZERVISION

This is the game I chose for my Blazer Vision tickets. I’m excited to see the Blazers but also watch Morant and Edey.

 

So many game threads, so little time.

Blazers schedule is absolutely crazy with the number of games per week. Thanks for keeping up with it.

 

I can't believe we're playing Minnesota for games 10, 12 and 13. Don't know if I've ever seen that before.

And we’ve already played the Pels 3 times. Strange schedule this season.

 

If you think about it, playing the same team twice back to back cuts down on travel. I’m surprised it doesn’t happen more often.

 

It didn’t ever happen really until the latest collective bargaining agreement.

 

That is super odd.... so 6 of 13 games will be against two teams.

 

I guess it's the new travel schedule they started after the Covid season where teams play 2 road games in a row. Seems like it happens more in Portland where perhaps they want to save those other teams from traveling so much. Also we never are a prime TV matchup being in an irrelevant market.

We already hosted the Pelicans in Portland 10/25 10/27.... will host the TWolves 11/12 11/13. Suns 2/1 2/3.

Games we play on the road twice is @Houston 11/22 11/23. @Denver 2/10 2/12.

So thats 5 sets of "Double header" type games which is 10 games. The Knicks only have two sets one of which is against the Nets without travel so seems like this isn't being fairly split up.

 

I dont think the players have any input on that. I think when resuming play during covid the league first tried it.

 

Is it just @THE HCP or does it feel like we always catch teams when they are missing their best players?

 

It's not you. The Mrs. says that when you're on the road, she catches the best players.

You would be very correct.

 

Grizzlies are a 1.5 favorite. Morant won't play.

I'd tend to think it's still a good bet to put money on the Grizz. Probably not enough for a bet to be clearly profitable though.

 

I think they said that about another team and another team. I can't remember which teams.
