Might as well have something to look forward to long term. Bucks not be quite at the level they are now, but somewhere in the 20's seems pretty reasonable. How does Johnuel Fland sound to you?

That was the obvious choice, but don't think the Bucks will be that bad in 3 years. They would have to be around the #7/8 seed for ZZ. Wouldn't it be sweet if he came to the Draft in a Silk suit, black tie....and a long beard.

Sly should sticky this. For those of you still alive in 3 years, it should be a grand laugh!

We got this pick in the CJ trade, it was unprotected for the Pels and they put a top 5 protection on it for us. We then traded it and the huge TPE to the Pistons for Jerami and the Pistons traded it to the Knicks for the draft rights to Duren. The Knicks traded it to the Nets as part of the package in the Bridges deal. So this pick has been moved a lot.

Started with the Bucks, went to the Pels in the Holiday deal, went to us is the McCollum deal, went to the Pistons in the Grant deal, went to the Knicks in the Duren deal and now is with the Nets from the Bridges deal but it still goes to the Pels if it's in the top 5.

Would much rather have Duren or even better have this Bucks pick. We have by far the worst of those three assets in Grant.

that way the Blazers could have 5 C's. Apparently, you can never have too many

In an alternate reality where we had Duren instead of Grant I doubt we would also have both Ayton and Clingan.

Duren and Clingan would be much more exciting though than our current duo.

I'd probably rather have that Bucks pick than Duren though. I remember people saying how it's a guaranteed late pick because of Giannis, just how the warriors pick was guaranteed to be late because of Steph/Klay/Draymond last year.

Getting picks with minimal lottery protections is a massive trade haul and some people very underrate all of them.

here's the thing I've always wondered: if PG13 hadn't got Covid and the Clippers eliminated the Pels in the play-in, Portland would have had the Pels 2022 draft pick instead of the Milwaukee 2025 pick. That would have been the 11th pick.

would Cronin still have traded that pick for Grant? I'd hope not, but what I've seen since makes me think he might have been that silly

but if he wasn't that silly:

    10 Johnny Davis
    11 Ousmane Dieng
    12 Jalen Williams
    13 Jalen Duren

having Scoot, Sharpe, and Jalen Williams would kind of change things for Portland. Yeah, I know it would have probably been Duren but as long as we're traveling thru alternate realities...
