I broke this down already in stats and what not when both played and without the other and etc a couple months ago, Ant didn't affect Scoot or Sharpe last year at all. If you want to put the blame on anything, it might be pointed towards Billups. Scoot could be starting and move Ant to the SG and bench either Camara or Deni, and I would prefer Deni and let him run the second unit as a playmaker point forward. If Scoot was starting and getting more mins with the ball in his hands more and Billups played Ant more off ball, I think you will see a more relaxed approach to his game imo.
I don't know how you "broke it down" statistically, but last season, the worst 2 man combo the Blazers had was Simons/Scoot: that failing showed up in the 3 man combos too: they were generally a disaster when they played with each other ********************************** Sharpe didn't play enough last season to register in the 20-most used combos bbref tracks. he did play enough in 2022-23 and the Sharpe/Ant pairing was the 4th worst: notice how the Dame/Sharpe combo was the 2nd best, much better than Dame/Simons. I won't post a screenshot of the 3-man combos that season but the Eubanks/Sharpe/Simons trio was by far the worst obviously the numbers are impacted by rotations. Starters are generally going to show better; backups generally worse. It's hard to know who shared the floor with the pairs and trios when those numbers were compiled
Taking the day off and finally figuring this out FAMS! This will no longer have a negative AFFECT/EFFECT on my life! I honestly type IMPACT in my emails and texts……I will overcome this FAMS!
If true (not saying it isn't), the results don't surprise me. Playing Scoot against second unit guys feels like the right move to give him a chance to succeed.
Can we please not be sidetracked and remember that this is a thread about cruelty to animals. Stop eating birds in the name of basketball players.
Yeah, so far. I don't think any of them are a superstar. Or perennial All-Star. That could change. We definitely need to keep tanking.
First of all, this is another time where you pull out some dumbass stats no one has heard of to try to drive home a point. Who TF looks at 2 man combos, as you even said yourself it depends on who was in the rotation with them. Also, notice Scoot is in the bottom 4 out of 5 combo's on that list, while Ant is in the bottom 10 only twice? So what that actually means, is it's more on how bad Scoot has played last season DESPITE who was on the floor with him, lol good try but you actually made no sense. Why not look at actually stats played with each other last year vs without them like I broke down before in past threads if you want to dig it up, I already wasted time going back an forth with a clown here many times. Scoot stats were a little better when playing WITH Ant, while Sharpe was the same playing with or without Ant, What does that mean, that Ant doesn't affect them stats wise at all with or without him. Another thing is Sharple played only 13 games with Ant last season, and only 37 games with Ant and Scoot together. Scoot has his worse stretch of last season WITHOUT Ant. In conclusion, you're little silly combo stats are garbage
