good point but damn it hurts watching the rotations. We got rookies who could mop up in blow out times but instead we’re stuck watching our bottom 5 finish games

Sometimes, it feels like playing our vets IS "shutting it down". :(

So Ant, Grant and Ayton are losers. Maybe so but there are those on here that want quite a bit for them.
I think you have to let them get theirs right now so they have some value. What team will want a player that cannot put numbers up?

If we could get a first rounder and bad contract out of each we probably should.

I'm almost certain I was the only one who was sad that Shaedon was playing and Murray wasn't. I realize one has approx 10 times the talent of the other, but the team is better with Murray than Shaedon.
HAVING SAID THAT, my problem is not really with Shaedon, it's with having Shaedon AND Ant (and to a lesser extent (currently) Scoot). I like the new "intense defense" Trail Blazers, and you can't play that when you have more than one sieve in the lineup. Consequently for every nice Shaedon bucket we got several easy Spurs buckets.

If he really was our PG of the future I would be totally on board. Scoot can continue to come off the bench.

Murray playing instead of Sharpe is stupid.

I can’t remember a team rebuilding but not starting any of the players they are building around!! Seems like Billups is old school and dedicated to the older guys who are legit starters but aren’t our future. Not playing them is setting them back another year or two.

It's a failure of Cronin, not Billups. Never made sense to setup this roster with these 5 vets in July as Cronin did.

I don't think we can blame this on Billups. Cronin needs to move guys. I have said before I would move Ayton and Simons for nothing.

    Agreed.

I'm actually wondering if it makes sense to send out a 2nd round pick or take back a worse contract just to dump one of Grant Ayton Ant.

Their value has consistently gone down over the last 3 years and I'm concerned it's more likely to sink even lower than ever go up.

He looked very mobile and active on the court. He also looked small compared to Wemby and Clingan.

I actually agree to an extent. I think Chauncey can have a better balance. I know he's gotta play the vets but the balance isn't good at all right now.

OR: you play the vets as much as possible to pump up their value and trade them all.
OR: Billups is old school but Cronin wants him to play the young guys, and the only way for non-confrontational Cronin to force Chauncey's hand is to trade the vets.

Slightly more hopeful about an Ant-to-Orlando trade now that Banchero has gone down and they can't score to save their lives.
