Politics Official 2024 Presidential Election Thread

Voters held them accountable. It's important they understand why. If they start now they can have candidates for congress who will blow out republicans in 2 years. And presidential candidates the GOP can not hope to beat.

But they must not push restrictions on individuals. Rather, put all of their force behind empowering poor and middle class individuals as solutions to virtually all of our problems. Access to quality education and healthcare, massive rollout of environmentally friendly infrastructure for jobs, and a social safety net which prevents any American from falling to destitution will solve nearly all of our problems.

Be consistent across the board. That's how you earn trust.

 

The republicans have chosen. They support corporations because they are all temporarily depressed billionaires.

 

The working class that vote republicans think they are temporarily depressed billionaires. They want to take advantage of the republican tax breaks when they are rich.

I can only assume these are also people who like to go to casinos...

 

What’s laughable is you still failing to recognize who just won the election in a fucking landslide and the reasons why that might have happened. The problem seems pretty ‘democrat specific’ to me.

Both sides do it. Fine. Your side is infinitely, immeasurably worse at it. The election results are your receipt.

But keep screaming like you have been the last 8 years, maybe this time it’ll work. Never know.

Like i said, your side takes the shit cake when it comes to shaming and degrading voters. You can deflect it to Trump all you want, but your side did it so well they lost every single swing state and even the popular vote. It’s actually quite impressive. Congratulations.

 

I think the poster was making a sarcastic comment on Trump saying he was shutting down the Department of Education, not that he was a Trump voter.

It's also ridiculous talking about being generated. Your side has been calling lefties Communists since the 50s, actually probably earlier. Then it was baby-killers after Roe became law. Then it was snowflakes. No one, absolutely no one denegrates more than your side and no one on your side more than Trump.

Your side is the one making up two prisoners getting gender-affirming care in five years as if it was the end of civilization. It was your side that ran ads calling LGBTQ people "freaks" and "crazies." It was you guys that invented stories about Haitians eating dogs and cats. It was your side that marched through Charlottesville chanting "Jews will not replace us." It was someone on your side that laughed saying "Your body. My choice. Men win again." to women after the election. It's your side that talked about all these criminals coming over the southern border when they actually commit fewer crimes per capita than people born here. It's your side that's trying to take healthcare from millions of your countrypeople because it was enacted by the other party.

It was your leader that called us "garbage" first.

It's easy to pick out when a liberal says something denegrating because it happens so little compared to what your side does. And calling out xenophobia, sexism, racism and fascism for what they are in response to xenophobia, sexism, racism and fascism is not intolerance. It's the truth. And you know no one voted for Trump over Harris because she said she believed he was fascist or Biden called Trump supporters "garbage." The only people fired up about that were people it hit home with, i.e. people already voting for Trump.

 

One side is trying to take away a bunch of freedoms from Americans. The other side is trying to stop them from having freedom to take the freedoms away from Americans.

It's not the same thing, and to say it is is lying.
